Fortunately, without the usual large crowd at this period of time, the hotel rates became more affordable. The ambience was cosy and tranquil, which was what I was looking out for. Besides not having seats for guests to rest at the lobby and the remote control which did not work (had to manually turn on the television), everything else was satisfactory for me. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious enough. However, it will be an added bonus if the inaccessible parts of the room such as underneath the bed etc. could be cleaned. The location is commendable as well since there are many attractions nearby such as the universal studios, adventure cove etc. The complimentary breakfast at Sessions in Hard Rock Hotel was also worth mentioning. Glad that we were able to store our bags safely in the lobby office even after we checked out. Thank you

Great service staff. Booked 2 rooms and they were able to accommodate to our request for a connecting room.
There was a water dispenser along the corridor which was helpful as mineral water was pricey at Sentosa. Bed was comfortable and location was good as it’s linked to the mall.
Cleanliness could be improved as we noticed a layer of dust behind the headrest.

It was just a 1 night stay and it is our 1st time staying at Hotel Michael. It was an amazing experience at time of check-in! Staff was friendly and accommodated to our requests of connecting rooms. We were checked in earlier than usual as there was not much of a crowd. The rooms were well-cleaned (with a sticker at door indicating room is sanitized and ready for use) which makes us feel more at ease during our stay. We are planning our next staycation with Hotel Michael. Thank you!

1. Reception and registration.
Receptionist is not in the hurry to answer your call, you need to stay on the line for few minutes to get through.
Check in is very slow, I spent about one hour at receptionist desk before were able to get to my room.
2. Bathroom and toilet.
Bathroom has no toilet brush.
3. Room
Room has no alarm clock.
Light bulb has improvised covering made from piece of vinyl flooring.
Some electrical wiring hinging loose with exposed core.
Balcony door is locked with screw to prevent opening.
Wi-Fi get interrupted every day around 3:00 pm so you should re-enter your credentials to stay online.
There is no drinking water in the room: reception is suggesting to use tap water.

For you own well-being and safety try to avoid this Mickey Mouse resort.

We booked 2 rooms for 3 days 2 night at Hotel Michael. I email the hotel for adjoining rooms as we are a family of 3 young kids and a helper. The hotel did a small decoration for our wedding anniversary as well.
Upon check in, the reception only managed to find 1 room but not the other. We checked in into 1 room while we waited for the hotel to find my other reservation. After 3 hours of waiting, the hotel came to us and said they upgraded our room to a suite. To our surprise, the hotel lead us to the Merlion Suite! Wow, we were blown away by the huge room, it comes with 2 living rooms, 2 large bedrooms with bath tubs. We totally enjoyed our rooms so much that we ended up staying in the room most of the time and ate at the long classy glass table for most of our meals. Due to the current COVID situation, eating in the big room was ideal for a big family like us. There is even TWG tea bags and coffee capsules provided for our usage.
Food choices was abundant and available just downstairs, we walked to our fun destinations as they are all downstairs within walking distances and the monorail was available at our door step too. The pool was awesome too! Small but cosy. but a pity, the timing was all full booked and we could only have 1 hour in the pool. The housekeeping was also very efficient and attended to our needs promptly.
Overall, we were super happy to be there and will choose the hotel again for our staycations.

We recently stayed in a Family room at the Festive on level 3. Out balcony faced the pool area. The room was suitable for our family of four (2 children aged 5, 8). The pool area is fun enough, but it does not compare to the Hard Rock facilities. We didn't mind though! The hotel is showing its age I believe, however all the minor incidentals that I missed (ie can't order in-room movies, no room service, no breakfast included, no bar service at pool area etc) were outweighed by the dedication and commitment of the staff. In particular, the assistant operations manager, Zong, and the concierge,Rahim, went above and beyond to make out stay as best as it could be.
Its location also proves to be beneficial as you are near everything. All in all, we are very happy to have to stayed here. As we travelled in Feb 2020, there was travel restrictions due to Coronavirus so at times it felt like we had the place to ourselves. The staff didn't seem overly concerned, however you could see that hygiene and cleaning was of top priority. We were very close to cancelling our trip, however I am so glad we didn't. No lines at any attractions we went too made the stay even better.

I rarely write trip advisor reviews, but I believe this one is warranted. I’ll cut to the chase; our Hotel Michael experience has been horrible. Upon checking-in, my partner and I were told at the front desk that we didn’t specify whether we wanted a deluxe King or deluxe twin bedroom. Instead of asking for our room preference, the hotel automatically assigned us the twin deluxe bedroom, which was only mentioned at check in. Never, during the booking process, was I made aware of the options.

Sensing obvious displeasure, we were offered a king bedroom on the “smoking floor.” The concierge (more on him later) mentioned that the room wouldn’t have any smell, so we thought we’d give it a shot. Navigating the smoking floor to our unfortunate bedroom destination was comparable to smoking a packet of cigarettes. The experience was awful.

Literally as we stepped into the room, the concierge called up asking if we would like to stay. Due to his impatient tone, my partner hastily replied “yes.” 5 minutes later, it was clear we couldn’t stay. Consequently, we headed down to have our room reassigned.

We informed the same concierge of the unbearable state of the room, but instead of empathizing with us, he had the audacity to roll his eyes at my partner and I. He reassigned us to the twin bedroom with clear annoyance, which left us feeling uncomfortable. For $300 a night, we face an inflexible booking process and rude staff. Very disappointed.

Thanking Michael hotel for their standard reply and I understand the measures that they are taking to keep guest safe by having staggered arrivals and safe distancing. My main reason to stay over was to celebrate with my wife and to patronize the "Aqua Gastronomy" for their pod dining experience under atmospheric ambiance lighting, coupled with Chinese fusion dining.
I cannot understand how someone on a staycation would like to check in as late as 4pm, as they would like to enjoy the amenities and comfort of the hotel, at reasonable check in time like 1 or 2pm, subject to availability (I was the Director of Sales in hotel for 20 years and we always try our best to 'manja' the guests). I would then have to leave for dinner at 6pm and come back at 10pm just to sleep. Not much time to enjoy myself and not sure if they would kick me out at noon or graciously extend late check out if my check in time is staggered to 4pm.
My experience at other Sentosa hotels like the Outpost Hotel Sentosa, W hotel and Hard Rock Hotel in Sentosa were all the time good and we always had a most memorable experience. The other Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort and Spa was another S$100 more but comes with massage for 2 included but I chose Michael Hotel for the convenience and proximity to the underwater world pod dining ecoerience later.
I hope Resort World Invites could take more good care to pamper and "wow" their customer, in anticipation of repeat businesses and rave reviews. Hotels are of the view in welcoming more patrons to their establishments and hotels during this COVID period.
I earnestly look forward to my experience at this esteemed hotel and that it would be equally bewildering if not over the top, in terms of customers service since I took booked the hotel 11th August for this staycation. Eagerly expectant of the standards synonymous with Resort World branding. I will update after my short sojourn in Michael hotel.Thanks.

In light of the Covid-19 situation, I have decided to go along with a staycation at Hotel Michael instead of my planned trip overseas. The first time I came here for a staycation, everything was perfect and I was given a newly renovated room and was impressed with my stay. That was what prompted me to do a 4 days 3 nights staycation this time round.

However, this decision proved to be one of the worst decisions.

The room I got this time round has a door that can open and join with the room next door to facilitate families staying together. I happened to be placed in a room next to a family with at least 2 kids (inclusive of a wailing baby). I have not seen what the look like, but I’ve most definitely been hearing them. I am still hearing them as I write this.

For the past 2 nights, the kids have been screaming and crying. They made noise in the morning, afternoon, and up till 11pm+ at night. My rest was affected, and hotel staff members were informed. They said they would send someone up to inform the occupants next door to keep their volume down but it hasn’t been much of a help. Additionally, the TV connection to the cable network kept dropping on and off.

I have one more night of torture here. Can’t wait for it to end.

During this time of Covid-19, it is a challenging time for hotel industry. With social distancing rule in place, Festive was well organized and maintained its highest standards of ensuring guests were receiving tip top service.

First I wana Thank all staff for still being in the Frontline to upholding Singapore and Festive Hotel's good reputation.

When we arrived the fridge wasn't operating properly, without questions a new one was replaced. Even more, we send our special Thanks to Alex from house keeping who took additional step in gifting us snacks and drinks to my 3year old (whom she met at the pool) so she could potato couch at the safety of our room. It's not about the freebies but it's her smile thoughtfulness and warmth that our family have received from her, please accept our compliments to her. Keep it up Alex, this is servicing with a heart!
