Hotel's Favourite
To me, this trip was designed as a getaway from my busy lifestyle, and that's exactly what this hotel gave me. The location is fantastic, considering that it's situated right BY a beach
In fact, the highlight of this hotel for me was the beach. The hotel provided guests with kayaks and stand-up paddle boards which you can use for free, and my family greatly enjoyed this, since it gives you something to do other than swimming in the ocean or lounging by the pool. Right by the beach, there are also many lounge chairs, where if you order food through the QR code, staff will bring it directly to you, and you can enjoy food with a stunning view of the beach.
But, if you're not feeling the beach for some days during your trip, the swimming pool is also a good place to spend the day. One feature that I absolutely loved was the adult zone, where no kids were splashing around; the jacuzzi was also an excellent addition that made me enjoy the pool all the more. There are also many kids zones within the swimming pool area, with water slides and smaller playing areas.
What I loved most about my experience at this hotel, however, was the recreation team, or the 'FUN team', and the activities they organized for the guests. There is a schedule placed on a bulletin board next to the lift area for going up to the rooms. The activities are typically held in the pool and last throughout the day. The one I enjoyed best was underwater boxing, where the staff brought punching bags down to the water. This, as I saw, must have taken quite some effort since they removed the punching bag from the actual pole and moved it down to the water separately. The coach who taught the party of 6-9 people was also very professional, and I had so much fun with this activity, so a special shoutout to the FUN team at this hotel for making my experience so enjoyable.
There are also many activities that parents and kids alike can enjoy throughout the day at the pool. One of the most exciting for me was the floating slip-and-slide that spanned across the pool that people tried to cross. Both adults and kids could try this, but it was infinitely more funny watching adults run across but fall in the water.
The breakfast is quite typical, and there is everything you would expect to find at a hotel, even though it's not my first time coming here, I'm still surprised at the vast array of food they have in the breakfast buffet. Because there is an outdoor and indoor sitting area, if you have a preference, you may want to arrive early so you don't have to line up, though the outdoor area is more popular. Be aware, however, if you are sitting in the outdoor area, that there are no rafters directly above your head since the resort is home to many birds that like to perch on the rafters and eye for the guests' food when they leave the table. I was unfortunately a victim of their droppings attack.
While the love I have for this resort is truly something, there is something that disappointed me greatly from this trip. Because there is a large shopping mall right outside Sentosa (Vivo City), many guests choose to shop and dine there then take the shuttle bus provided by the hotel that brings you back directly to the hotel. When I visited the resort previously (just earlier in 2023), the shuttle bus was a tour bus, with 60+ seats, though this time I visited, it has switched into a van, with less than 20 seats. Because the mall is a popular site for guests, it would be normal for there to be many guests going to and from the hotel and the mall, though the hotel clearly did not account for this as there were not enough seats for both times I took the shuttle bus. The second time I took the bus, there were actually not enough seats for everyone in my family of three to board, though two kind families had their child sit with them (three people sharing two seats) so we could fit on. This is not only unsafe for those sharing their seats, but also unfair to those who have lined up for the bus but were not able to board, since the alternative way back to the hotel is either by taxi or the monorail, though this does not take you directly back to the hotel. If the hotel were to keep the small van, there should be more shifts throughout the day, instead of the once-an-hour shift the shuttle bus operated on when I was there.

We were very happy with this resort and would consider returning. Vegetarian family of 4 from Australia.
Check in was easy. We were on level 4 in a pool view room which was fine and not too noisy. Rooms are a little dated but we didn’t plan to spend too much time there.
There is a large family pool next to a bar, a smaller toddler pool, a splash pad and 3 water slides. It was easy to get a seat at any time of the day. Plenty of pool activities. Special thanks to Roy for the games and pool side singing. And thanks to Amandeep for the attentive service. There’s 2 for 1 cocktails at the pool from 5-6.
We walked down to the beach which was clean but just didn’t entice with the large ships in the distance.
We dined at Terrapizza twice and didnt feel limited on options. We also ate A La Carte indian food at the on-site restaurant. The food was excellent at both places. The rest of the nights we ate dinner at Singapore central.
There is a free shuttle to Vivocity. There are also free buses that take you all around Sentosa.
An added bonus was having a single washer and dryer machine on each level to wash clothes. It was constantly in use but we managed to get 3 washloads done. Guests were kind enough to bag your clothes if your load had finished so that they could start there load.

With all of the travel restrictions and flight cancellations we decided to do our first family staycation and this was a great experience! The hotel has a SG Clean status so those worried about the virus can feel more comfortable (at least we did). The garden family room is actually quite spacious with a huge king bed and a full sized sofa bed for the kids and there is a nice balcony overlooking the pool, they gave us monorail passes and there is a regular shuttle to the mall (Vivo City). We picked the Fantasy Escape pkg so we got one picnic lunch (a bit small to actually feed 2 adults and 2 hungry kids...but it was ok) and the next day we had finger food at the pool bar (plenty of food if you pick satay, chicken wings, fries and things like that). The staff are super helpful and the food at the buffet was ok too. Selection wasn’t extensive but I think it was more than enough. They also have a kids section at the buffet which is very convenient. Our kids enjoyed the kids club and slide, enjoyed the games/activities that the fun crew put on, loved the pool area, enjoyed how close the beach was to the pool are. The prices for food and drinks wasn’t too crazy so overall it was a good pick. I wish we would have went earlier to enjoy all the amenities. We would recommend this place for staycations or even a stop over with family while visiting SG.

Our family/extended family booked a 5 day 4 night stay at the Shangri-la Sentosa. The hotel is a bit worn and dated but clean and comfortable. Front desk and housekeeping were warm and friendly. Shuttle was very convenient coming around every 20 minute to Vivo City. Bus stop, Siloso Point cable car and 7-Eleven also just down from the front entrance. Water and ice machine on each floor is excellent so be sure to bring your own water bottle. Washer & dryer on every other floor.
We enjoyed eating at Trapizza and tried the dinner buffet one night. Pool food and drinks were tasty and happy hour was great.
The only issue was with the children’s age limit not being consistent across different areas and the wording making it more confusing. Sometimes it says “up to” and other times it says “under” 12yo. Kids club is up to 12yo (which apparently means it includes 12yo), buffet discount is valid for under 12yo (so only up to 11yo). Jacuzzis/Adult Pool signage says under 12yo should not use (so 11yo should not use).
We were a group of 7 adults and one 12 yo. First day at the adult jacuzzi/pool the lifeguard checked my child’s age and when told 12yo said it was okay. Second day there were also no issues. Third day another lifeguard checked age again and said not allowed even though 12yo because it is “adult” pool which means no kids and gave us a hard time. Later that same day another lifeguard asked and said it was okay. The fact that various lifeguards came around to ask obviously means that at a certain age older children are allowed in the adult pool. There needs to be more consistency with the rules and a clear sign that says 12yo and above allowed in the adult pool (especially since they are charged as adults for food and room starting from 12 yo.) and use clearer wording. The lifeguards need to be on the same page.
The birds by the adult pool were also quite a nuisance. Servers need to remind guests not to leave their food unattended or ring for someone to clear it up otherwise the birds flock to the tables and poop everywhere. A good number of sunbeds by the adult pool were unusable due to bird poop.
Aside from this one issue we had a wonderful stay.

Shangrila Rasa Sentosa is a beautiful and vast property landscaped with greenery and surrounded by the sea. It's like a retreat in a safe haven on a private island with the beach all to yourself and the pristine blue ocean a sight to behold. The rooms are spotless and spacious and the hotel staff go out of their way to ensure they delight you with Birthday greetings and balloons arranged on the bed when you arrive, the complimentary cake hidden away in the mini-fridge and the lit cake brought to the table while dining at the Silver Shells cafe. The chef also made sure to specially cater to my husband's food preferences and customised the salad for us. The buffet menu is huge and all brought to your table during these times of safety precautions. The pool attendants were also willing to adjust our timing to access the beach for paddle boating and kayaking as our time slot was rained in. Overall a wonderful staycation - The perfect choice for families with children as their Family Fun Package includes a complimentary double sofa bed for the children, dinner with free flow of drinks, free breakfast, Nestopia entry, and Kayaking. Fun-filled yet relaxing. Highly recommend.

There are many new hotels on Sentosa Island but we keep coming here is because of the high quality service and cleanliness as well as the many activities we can do within the resort itself.
As a family, we prefer a big room and we always love the garden terrace for the easy access to the ground floor where all the action is.
The shuttle bus to and from Vivo was also great as we are able to quickly rush to get bathbombs and fried snacks back.
The close distance to the cable car and shuttle bus to beach station is great for families who want to do activities outside the resort.

We chose to use our last SRV on Shangri-La, mainly for the sea view and it did not disappoint. Of course this isn't the Caribbean so it was full of tankers and ships occasionally blowing their horn but I found a certain charm in that. Particularly being able to work while gazing at the sea was very nice. We made all sorts of requests which the front desk met very well (and they even somehow guessed that I did not want a tub, and waived the extra charge to switch).
A few things to note is that it is quite far from most things so getting around is difficult unless you drive. The shuttle to Harbourfront is useful but starts late at 11am. The Sentosa buses start earlier but the walk up the sloped driveway to the hotel can be difficult if you have elderly or prams in tow. Also note that getting food delivery may also be impossible in the mornings as no riders are available.
Other than the challenge of getting around, I really enjoyed my stay. I would only recommend that less bottles of toiletries and water be given because we really don't need that many, and it felt wasteful as I don't know if the unopened ones are kept/sanitised for the next guest or thrown. (We tried not to touch what we didn't use) I also loved the toiletries. My family missed having proper covered bath/bedroom slippers as the floor gets cold and wet quite easily (uncarpeted). There was a strong smell of thinner when we checked in but they promptly ventilated it. There was also bird poop on the chair outside but that can't be helped.
The beach and pool was crowded despite booking system but I think morning seems less crowded. This is a popular spot for families with kids.
I think the hotel was just refurbished so it was very well done with lots of spaces to hang or put things. But I was surprised given the private beach access that there is no tap to wash your feet so we just used an empty bottle or shower.
I am surprised by how much I liked the hotel even though getting around/food was a challenge, but we knew that when we booked. Everything went very smoothly, from housekeeping to front desk to amenities, so they must be doing something right, which is not very common even for 5 star hotels. Only it took a while for them to respond to emails but we were already warned that they were inundated. They still responded within a few days which I found acceptable given that they must be running on reduced manpower.

Stayed at a pool view room with 3 adults and 1 kid. The room was nice and comfy although the sofa bed was a bit dated so there was a "squeeky" sound every time you move. The staff were very nice and accommodating, a real 5 star service.
The breakfast was properly set up so that you won't have to get near other guests.
We enjoyed our Christmas celebration at this hotel.

Booked a short staycation to celebrate my daughter's first birthday. The team at Rasa Sentosa putted up some balloons in the room prior to arrival and the kids was so happy upon checking in. Received a cake for the the little one as well. The pool and beach is def a hit for the kids (4 & 1) that my older one keeps asking to go back. We had the buffet dinner served to table, food was nice and the staffs were prompt in serving n clearing. It would be better if they refine the selections further instead of mostly assorted platters. Breakfast selection was great and they have got kids selection as well.
The down part of the stay was that the bed and pillow wasnt too comfy. The pillow is way too soft and i practically turned and tossed the whole night. Mini Bar have been removed due to covid-19 and they no longer have the first round complimentary mini bar. Was told that the deluxe pool room is also considered as their family room but no kids amenity was provided except for a step stool in the bath, called to request but was told that it will only be subject to availability unlike Shangri-la Orchard.

Pre-arrival to check out was all done seamlessly with use of app.
Appreciate the kind gesture in having our room upgraded (our 4th returning visit) and value the Jade Member with late checkout. Pre-booking of facilities and breakfast online definitely help guest to plan forward and without the need to call through the helpdesk.
Breakfast and dinner order using the QR code is easy and the speed of the food item upon order is less than a minute. Good to inform guest not to order everything in one go to prevent table overflowing with food. Family Fun package with BF and Dinner help family to dine in easily without need to find food outside of the resort. Food variety is good.
Sea sports are enjoyable, beaches are clean and pool are not overcrowded
Location is near to 7-11 and tram stop if want to travel around the sentosa beach,
One improvement will be have more directional sign from the CP to hotel lobby. The past access points are all closed.

You can book all inclusive packages I think. But don't. There are other places to eat nearby - nice restaurant just a few minutes walk away. Also the lunches by the pool are reasonably priced. Just do bed and breakfast
I think you can use the shower provided next to the pools. My suggestion is to email the hotel with your specific request. They may try their best to help you
i believe tepee tent is always available with additional price.
