The hotel is good overall. Nothing wrong about the hotel, only problem is that hotel is so cheap, so don't expect good crowd in the hotel. Thats the only drawback, the staff is really courteous and helpful. The rooms are small, but If you are travelling to singapore to tour, you will hardly be in hotel, so thats not a...

This hotel is awful we stayed 3 nights there. The smell when we reached the room was unspeakable, but no surprise because there is no windows in the room which was also incredible small. The toilet was also too small and there was no seperate space too take your shower. I barely could take a simple sleep in that hole....

Its a budget hotel. And as such facilities are minimum. Bed and bedding is ok. Sheets are changed daily . Two towels are also provided . They dont have any thing for you to put your bags. So bags will be on the floor. The sachets provided for tea and coffee (Some kind of all in one) is useless ....

It was my third time in Hotel Rochor 81. The situation is very good. Only 10 minutes walk to/from Bugis station. Near by the are lot of cheap and good restaurants, including two hawkers center. Check in/out was quick. The room was clean and quiet. Rochor 81 is good hotel for few nights.

Bed is uncomfortable, my neck is sick bcos it's too hard. Small room Many halal food, it just take 6 minutes to bugis village and 7 minutes to kampong glam. Beside the hotel, there is mini market so you can easy to find snack, drink, mie goreng, etc.

If you're looking for budget hotel that close to MRT station and just minutes away from shopping centre, then this hotel is what you're looking for! I choose 81 rochor because it's just 140 metres away from rochor station (newly built MRT station that located between bugis and little india station), minimarket is next to the building, mosque and halal...

A decent budget hotel that is in a good location: 2 minute walk to Rochor MRT station and about 5-10 minute walk to Bugis and Albert food centre. Besides, there is a 24 hour convenient store right outside the hotel. Definitely very convenient for your average budget traveler. Rooms are quite clean too with free wifi avaialble. Too bad there...

Staying in Little India

Neighbourhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly coloured saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colourful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Centre, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colourful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.
