Dirty bathrooms and showers, very very small rooms, so small that you could just about open the door, also massive TV set in the room that doesn't work. Unfriendly service, breakfast was 2 pieces of toast with choice of rancid butter and what looked like year old jam. Just don't stay there, its an embarrassment to the country of Singapore,...

They claim to have won the 2004 hostel award. I cannot imagine how, because this is the most disgusting hotel I ever stayed in. Toilets and showers are disgusting. The online reservation system doesn`t work. Breakfast is coffee and two pieces of bread untoasted. DO NOT STAY HERE.

The title said it. I got infected with fleas and impetigo. No bathroom, the rooms don't have more than a metre space. The bunks don't have a ladder and are too tall to climb on, they also are rusty and creek with every movement you make. The public bathrooms are fithy, like the beds. Our window was broken and had...

Although Singapore has been one of the most beautiful cities we've been to...Summer Tavern is the worst hostel we've stayed at on our travels around the world. The place is more dirty than a pig's sty - the so called double room's door does not actually open fully as the bed takes up the entire room. We found a toenail...

Nice location just north of Chinatown. Unfriendly staff Rooms for 80SGD are without view and just fit only a double bed. Bedside-table is a firehose... Showers and toilets are not clean To avoid in any cases....

its seems that, you are only complaining about the rates. which is still the cheapest in this area. well we regret that this review been pointed out, but what kind of services the clients need while we do not even have the chance to see, them, once they check in, thats set .they just going out and never set on...

This place is DIRTY. I had the misfortune to drop something that rolled under the bed and in the retrieval process discovered all manner of things that had obviously been under there for years. I 'shared' my room with the fire hose which took up a good chunk of the room. The shared bathrooms and stairwells were without light (maybe...

We had the misfortune of booking on line into this place for 5 nights with no refund. We stayed in a double room (if you can call it that) which as the reviews below say was filthy (unfortunately we did not look on here for reviews until after we arrived). The room must be the same room as the review...

We initially had booked the Summer Tavern online for 4 nights, paying a minimal deposit. On arrival a nice lady apologised that we would have to carry our luggage up the 4 flights of stairs as there was no lift - which was fine. She then lead us down a very dark and dingy corridor before opening a flimsy door...

We travelled around the world and this was by far the worst hostel we stayed at. It wasn't cheap and although the location was good, that was the only thing going for it. It was worse than a prison, the room was tiny and there was literally just a double bed in there. The bed had hairs in so we...
