Pros -
1) Booked a Luxury room and got upgraded to a Premium room (same room but higher floor with great views). Room was sizable, clean and comfortable and could easily accomodate an additional rollaway bed (no extra charge).

2) One time minibar consumption is included in the room, which is rather generous imho.

3) Service was friendly and polite throughout.

4) Located just above the MRT (Tanjong Pagar) and close to many restaurants/cafes in the Duxton/Amoy area.

5) Buffet breakfast spread and quality at Racines was decent and slightly better than Kwee Zen's at Sofitel Sentosa.

6) Kids amenity kit (toothbrush, toothpaste, shower gel and shampoo) provided, which was a pleasant surprise.

7) Complimentary parking up to 24hrs (based on $ value I believe. So if you park on weekends, you can do 48 hours like me with no issues).

Cons -

1) Pool is rather narrow (probably only 2 people can swim abreast).

All in all, a great stay.

I have stayed at a few Sofitel locations (here, Sentosa, New York City), and this is my favorite simply because the location is amazing!! This is THE spot for food and city lovers when you visit Singapore. There is a food centre within walking distance but most impressive is that the entry to the subway is accessible from the hotel lobby (just take the elevator all the way down)!

While we didn’t spend much time at the actual hotel, we enjoyed our room and the outdoor pool (a MUST) during our stay. Our room had soft beds, nice sheets, and we slept so well that we will be buying our own Sofitel bed soon. I highly recommend Westerners staying here as it is catered to Western tastes. The room was clean, all basic amenities were provided, and the staff was helpful and spoke English.

*For individuals with mobility disabilities, I would highly recommend staying here. There are many speedy elevators in this hotel. This Sofitel location is central to many of the eateries and activities in Singapore so getting around via subway is quite easy. Taxis and other driving services can be summoned from the front desk if that is your preferred method of transport.*

We were stoked by the many surprises offered by Sofitel Singapore City Centre during my birthday staycation.

We were upgraded to a suite. We had a lovely birthday surprise from the hotel. Though my boy who is below 12 cannot access the club, a meeting room near to the club was set up for our use. We were very touched as it means that the whole family could dine in together instead of taking turns to visit the club lounge.

On the second day, when we got back after exploring the vicinity, Terrence our housekeeper surprised the little one with towel animals which we all love! Though we instructed Terrence to only wash the dirty classes, he did a very thorough job of cleaning up and restoring the suite.

While dining at the bar the same day, my boy asked for a change of table. I was careless and left my belongings etc on the first table. A young staff dutifully brought everything over to us. When my boy broke the glass, the staff was more concerned about whether my boy hurt himself.

My apologies that I couldn’t get everyone’s name, but this has to be my best and favourite birthday staycation! My husband and I really love the food served at Racines, the vegetables in particular. Thanks you Sofitel Singapore City Centre for this wonderful experience! We will be back again!

For the past 8 days my family and I stayed at the Sofitel City Centre Singapore, for our yearly holiday. The service was outstanding from the beginning, the concierge particularly Wesakcar and his Malaysian colleague, were outstandingly helpful and would go out of their way to give you recommendations and directions on where to go. John the hospitality manger was always there finding the right way to make you smile and ensuring there was nothing else that can be done to make your stay more pleasurable.

The hotel room was extremely clean and organised and is suitable for any age. The family and I were down at the pool every day due to the fact there was very few to no people in the pool. The pool area was well maintained and no bookings were required unlike other hotels. The buffet breakfast was extremely organised and clean with many options of food, as well as a selection of food for people with allergies.

The Sofitel City Centre Singapore is close to the MRT, lots of restaurants, hawker centres, Chinatown and lots of tourists and local attractions. It is only 15 minutes by taxi to Sentosa which only costs on average $10. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone of all ages.

Being an Accor Live Limitless Platinum member, we stayed at Sofitel Singapore City Centre in a Luxury Club Room (38 sqm) for one night in November 2024.

During our stay, we dined at Club Millésime.

What did not meet our expectations:
Club Millésime did not convey exclusivity due to its location on the same level as the lobby, and meeting and events space. Accessing the club lounge from rooms was also inconvenient due to its location on different floors.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay at Sofitel Singapore City Centre.

We booked 2 rooms for 17 nights as Accor Gold Plus members. Room 1 for grandparents/babysitters and Room 2 for a 9 week old and his working parents. The “baby” room was fully set up as requested with cot, bottle sterilising equipment and baby bath. A change table was also available. The servicing of the room was always available to work around baby sleeping times- thank you. Breakfast and club access was included for the oldie’s room.
We chose this location for easy commute to work for both parents- 6 minutes for one, 10 for the other. The MRT is right underneath the building with super easy access. This is a new hotel and although mostly a business hotel, families are very welcome. The soundproofing between rooms is amazing- not a sound heard when the door is shut. A myriad of shops and eateries are underneath and within a few metres of the hotel, as are chemists and supermarkets.
The hotel also has a long lap swimming pool and gym. The staff were always friendly and cheerful and all our small requests/questions attended to very efficiently. The only small criticism was that breakfasts could have offered more fruit. The breakfast staff were lovely and always came to check on “the baby”. In fact, they seemed genuinely disappointed the one morning we didn’t take him down!
Thank you Sofitel for a magnificent stay and making us so welcome for our extended stay. When work dictates again, we will definitely be back.

Held my wedding at wallich ballroom on 14/01/23 and was handled by Agnes. We were initially were in contact with Jocelyn whens we first paid the deposit and confirmed the booking. Agnes then took over and a the handover done was not fantastic. However, Agnes made up for it by being detailed and meticulous. She was consistently accommodating and replied even at odd hours of the night. She was always friendly and helpful when contributing her input where necessary. The week leading up to the wedding was obviously hectic but she did her very best to attend to all our requests despite her extremely busy schedule.

The ballroom itself was beautiful with no pillars to obstruct any of the guest's view. However, when it came to the dinner itself, the sound system was muffled and soft, making it difficult for anyone to understand the emcees and to hear the music. Everything was fine during the sound check a few hours before the dinner but somehow it failed when all guests were in the ballroom. We also requested for connecting rooms for a few of our guests but the hotel was unable to accommodate. The rooms and the wedding suite were beautiful though. Much larger than we expected with amazing views.

All in all, we were pleased with the service we received despite the hiccups every now and then (which there definitely will be at every wedding). We decided on the 7-course Chinese dinner. Reviews and feedback from guests were that food was great! Unfortunately. We didn't have much time to eat and the servers kept clearing the plates from the VIP table which were individually plated.

One advice for future couples is to avoid using Sing See Soon as the florist which is included in the package as they failed to deliver what we wanted and requested for. Rosie from Sing See Soon was incredibly difficult to contact and was unprofessional when she screwed up our orders.

I would like to personally thank and commend Agnes on her decorum, professionalism and helpfulness. Sofitel has acquired one gem of a worker and hope that this feedback will be considered in the advancement of her career with Sofitel. Agnes, thank you for everything you've helped us with from the day you took over till the end. We appreciate it very much.

Regards
Daniel & Natasha

Stayed here twice (Dec 2024 and Jan 2025) with my wife and two daughters. We had connecting rooms which were really helpful (1 x King, 2 x single). Hotel is fantastic, spotlessly clean and very well run by the team.

Location is excellent, there is an MRT at your doorstep so everywhere is quick to get to in Singapore (Orchard Road, Raffles etc). Plus it's only a 10 minute walk to Chinatown, Maxwell Food Centre, Lau Pa Sat and lots of other restaurants.

Plenty of restaurants nearby within walking distance as well, plus a couple of smaller hawker centres.

All the facilities at the hotel are modern and pool area is excellent. Breakfast is also a very solid offering, and Vincent and the team are really friendly to everyone each morning. We had access to Club Millesime, which was okay - felt a bit like an airport lounge, but it was nice to have a couple of drinks in the afternoon.

The main foyer area is quite good for a drink and a snack - and full marks to the person who rearranges the bears each day on the seats, they have a very good sense of humour!

The only thing that is a bit annoying about the hotel is that they take a huge holding deposit (more than the value of the stay itself) while you are there. Not sure what the reason is for this.

But overall, it's definitely a 5 star hotel and I'd happily stay here again.

We held our wedding in Sofitel, Wallich ballroom and we are very satisfied in every aspect of the experience.

1) The ballroom is very spacious and together with the flower decorations, it makes the whole venue very beautiful.

2) There is also a small room just beside the ballroom to allow us to change our outfits. This makes the whole experience so much better as compared to most wedding venues where couples have to head back to their accomodation rooms to change, which can be a little inconvenient for thr bride.

3) The food is excellent. Not trying to be biased but the overall food experience has to be 1 of the best that I had among all the wedding banquets that I have attended (excluding the very high tiered hotels such as Fullerton, Capella, Ritz Carlton etc, as I have not attended it before). Asked some of my wedding guests as well and they all have the sentiment as well.

3) Our wedding manager, Fern has been with us since the day we first enquired about the venue. Her professionalism and experience convinced us to sign the wedding package with the hotel. And that is definitely the best decision that we had made for our wedding. Since then, our needs have been well taken care of by Fern and we did not have to worry as Fern will do to her best of her abilities to deliver what we need. If it is unable to be done, she will explain the reasoning and gave alternative solutions such that we can still obtain the outcome that we want. Fern will also probe and remind us if there are certain things that were not done yet, such as our guest list, wedding timeline etc.

4) Our wedding banquet managers, Matthew and Jimmy worked very well with the rest of the wedding helpers to ensure the program run very smoothly on our wedding day. Our wedding program is a little different from the typical wedding where we had a church service as well before banquet so this is something new to the hotel team but Matthew and Jimmy adapted well to ensure that the whole sequence of the wedding program runs smoothly.

Matthew, who is the main contact person from the hotel side during the wedding day, is very easy going and familiarise himself with the timeline. He pays attention to the little details and always checks back when required. He is clear with his communication and coordinates well throughout the whole banquet.

Both my wife and myself do not have to worry and could just enjoy our big day and just go with the whole flow of the wedding as we know that we are under the good hands of Matthew and Jimmy.

5) We upgraded our accomodation to 2 nights of Prestige Suite and I must say that it was a very good experience. The room is very nice and we are able to enjoy a very good view of Chinatown. We had a good rest after a hectic wedding day in the Prestige suite, enjoying the amenities provided. The hotel breakfast buffet at Raccines is also very delicious. We had breakfast for 2 days and they had a good variety of food on both separate days.

We strongly recommend couples who are looking for a hotel venue for their wedding banquet to choose Sofitel Singapore City Centre. You can be assured that the entire experience will be positive, from start to end.

Another Accor great hotel at Singapore. The check in process was very seamless, even they let me enter the room early. The room is beautiful and very spacious for a family like us with a lot of luggages. As a Platinum member, i was upgraded to Executive floor.

The breakfast is very tasty with wide selection of food. The food at the exec lounge was also very tasty but unfortunately, only 1 hot meal was served daily and not replenished and no other choices, and luckily the hot meal during evening cocktail was tasty, the dessert was also very good (tiramisu is my favourite, moist, creamy and not too sweet). However, it is a shame that mineral water is not widely available at the exec lounge because the staff hide it under the cabinet. You may request for it for free, but it is troublesome to keep asking since other bottled drinks are free for grab in the fridge except mineral water. I never found exec lounge in other 5* hotels which restrict the amount of mineral water like this. Normally, the alcohol is restricted not the mineral water. But i understand, Sofitel exec lounge uses the glass bottled mineral water which is imported from Italy (not the local cheap brand) so i think it is high cost.

Location wise, it is next to Tanjong Pagar mrt station and it is only like 10 seconds of walking and there is small shopping mall next building.

Even though most of the staffs are friendly and attentive, i see some of the breakfast attendants and one male manager (standing in front) is abit cocky and not friendly, where he was looking ppl from head to toe.

The hotel is also not very far from Maxwell Food Centre but quiet a distance if you want to reach Chinatown area by foot, like 20mnts of walking.

Overall, this is a great hotel even the hotel allows me for late check out until 5.30pm because i have 10pm flight so i can rest a while before going to the airport.

If you like the "olden" or "cultural" Singapore, this part of the city is a great place to base your stay - walking distance to Singapore City Gallery to start off to give a good context/understanding of Singapore. Chinatown is also a stone throw away with many cultural attractions. There is also a local tourist centre (where you can make your day tours/tickets) at Chinatown. If you are game for it, you can also try out the durian stalls here. This hotel is directly above a MRT which makes it easy to travel to any other parts of Singapore. It is also a great place to soak into the local culture as it is located near public housing as well as local offices. You can also check out the Pinnacle @ Duxton which is an iconic public housing project. There are a lot of local food choices in the many hawker centres / markets around. For quiet dinners, there is a good restaurant within the hotels and there are also many good restaurants at neighbouring hotels. It is very safe to walk around at night around here. Enjoy!

Contact the hotel and ask as they are reply back quickly. You may have to pay extra for a rollaway bed to be 'installed' in the room.
