What brought us back again at this hotel for the 3rd time were the smiles, hospitality and warmth rendered by the Manager and Lady in Red :) A Big thanks to Mr Roszel for going above and beyond and arranging a suite room with birthday decorations for our daughter’s 18th birthday. The Stamford suite was really beautiful, spacious and well maintained. Thank you Mr Roszel for making our stay a very comfortable and memorable one👍 special thanks to Risse the lady in red who checked in on us efficiently and professionally with a big smile. The Capitol Kempinski is a beautiful boutique hotel that provides a level of guest care that I have only experienced at the most expensive of premium hotels. The friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff is a standout and due to its smaller size there is a feeling of intimacy that is just unavailable in the larger premium hotels. The quality of the rooms and fixtures is extremely high with elevated ceilings and a feeling of spaciousness and opulence. I have recommended it to my travelling associates and friends.

Check in was seamless with Cassandra & Tuah who are hospitable and warm. They both explained various amenities and facilities available.
However, disappointment arises when I was told there would be absolutely no pool usage even though I told the staff prior to check in about using the pool adjacent to the hotel. But this was easily recovered by Stella, Lady in Red, who did a stellar job at accommodating my request and even took the liberty to contact me personally through my mobile number when I was out, to deliver the good news! Also, ushering me to the pool via the custom buggy, with a bag of towels and oxygenated water.
Rooms were spacious with high ceilings to give a more cosy and airy feel. I personally like the feature of "Do Not Enter My Room" which is very thoughtful in this pandemic. I did opt for turndown service and the housekeeping team did an amazing job by replenishing everything and delivered iron & ironing board in less than ten minutes.
Breakfast was good despite the lack of staff, the service were efficient. Aidil & Liyana were very accommodative - particularly Liyana when she remembered where I sat the day before and even brought additional sugar syrup for my latte without having to ask.
Ate at the Arcade - La Scala and the food were flavourful. On top of the amazing food, the ambience is nice as well as the wait staff. Mira, who is friendly and bubbly made the whole dining experience very warm and at ease. I also ordered room service for lunch from La Scala and the delivery to the room was fast.
Check out was done by Angel and she truly is one. She is very warm and managed to explain several details about my check out process. Additionally, Stella also asked about my stay and had a quick chat before checking out.
Looking forward to the opening of the saltwater pool as well as the Capitol Wing.

It was a planned birthday staycation on a weekday and we specifically took our time off to enjoy my special day.
Check in was pleasant with a nice touch of being personally guided to the room. The decor of the room is tastefully designed to complement the renaissance exterior look but with modern amenities like Nespresso machine, wireless charging point, Smart TV with Full HD Channels, Sonos soundbar.
As we were busy checking out the room, the nice big tub, toiletries, minibar. Something caught my eyes just beside the wireless charging pad. Greeting us was a lifeless body of a cockroach. Luckily it was me instead of SO that discovered it. Perhaps it was the disinfectant that was strong enough to exterminate pest. Kind of eerie but yet comforting at the same time, i guess? Took a photo to show it to the front desk while we make our way out to give time for the housekeeping to deal with it. Returned hours later to find the roach has been taken care of and decided to just order In-Room Dining and call it a night.
The actual let down was probably the construction beside the hotel, though it's not at the fault of the hotel, it would be nice for the management to take note of this. Do avoid the room at the Stamford wing as in our case, the room's window is directly facing the construction site. The drilling work carried out is loud enough to escape the multilayered window, and vibration can be felt inside the room at times. Originally did not notice the drilling much the day before as we went out instead of staying in as we intended to, but the next morning we were kind of getting woken up by the drilling vibration. As it was just a few hours away from checking out, we did not bother to do anything about it.
On the other side, the food here is awesome, breakfast spread has a huge variety given the Covid situation and every plate was nicely presented and delicious. Regrettably just could not stomach everything. The staff are friendly too and ready to assist. It was also a good gesture that we were offered discount on our In-Room dining during checkout.

I did a solo staycation here for a night and wished I could have stayed for another.
Service:
Was impeccable from the moment I stepped into the lobby. I was able to check in early as I was staying on a weekday (and also part of an ongoing staycation deal they have going on till end March 2021). In addition, as there was construction going on right outside reception, the check-in staff graciously assigned me to a room that was on the other side of the hotel, where I couldn't hear any of the noise.
Room:
I was upgraded from a Classic to a Deluxe Room, which was such a nice treat. The bathroom was huge and spacious, came with a bathtub and a Japanese toilet (YES!!!). The bedroom I think would have been a bit small if there were more than one person staying in there, as the desk was literally right next to the bed, but since I was alone this wasn't an issue for me at all. However, I really appreciated the complimentary beverages in the room, the abundance of power outlets, as well as the ability to connect your Apple devices to the in-room TV via AirPlay.
Amenities/Facilities:
The pool area is small but peaceful and cozy. This is more of a place where you lounge under the sun, take a dip in the water, maybe wade in the pool for a bit; don't expect a place where you (or your kids) will be running around everywhere and doing laps. The gym is also quite small but it does have the essentials like a treadmill, elliptical, and some weights. You'll have to reserve a slot if you'd like to use the pool and gym respectively, which is something I'd probably do before checking in if I were staying during peak periods like weekends and school holidays.
Location:
Super convenient. You're in the middle of the City Hall area, with Raffles City, Funan, and Chijmes within short walking distance of each other. You can also access the hotel via numerous bus services, as well as City Hall MRT, which is accessible via underground through the Capitol.
Food:
Breakfast was complimentary with my stay, and I quite enjoyed it. Quality of the food was good, I thought the "pass-around" service for pastries and condiments was a nice touch. I suggest trying their bircher muesli with some honeycomb from their condiments spread. During my stay I had also ordered room service for dinner, and the burger that arrived in a timely fashion was delicious.
I seriously recommend this place if you're looking for a staycation to unwind for a bit, whether by yourself or with a friend/partner.

Stay for a short break for wife and I. Greeted by the excellent Angel at the front desk. The Kempinski keeps its reputation as a luxury hotel, with its furnishings and fittings of amazing quality. True attention to detail given. Our room had amazingly high ceilings, with wonderful street views on 2 sides, with remote controlled curtains and blinds. There was a rainfall, standard and extendable hose shower all in one with a granite seat. The massive Samsung flat screen was discretely wall mounted with input fittings (HDMI, USB, Optical) built into the wall, should you need to connect your own tech. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Complimentary non-alcoholic beverages rounded off a great experience.

Capitol Kempinski hotel is the best staycation we've had in Singapore and we've been to at least 5 other 5-star hotels.
The breakfast is simply the best. We've been to 3 hotels during this COVID period and this was the only breakfast which kept to the buffet system where you could order the mains as many times as you wanted, and it's the first time we ordered apple juice and it was a legit cup of freshly squeezed apple juice and not the usual syrup kind. Really enjoyed the quality and quantity of the food and this was the first time we got to enjoy honeycomb at breakfast. They also had a special homemade dark chocolate and white chocolate spread which was awesome. Fullerton hotel's breakfast was our top favorite previously but now it has been replaced.
The room condition is great and the bathtub was impressive considering the little amount of time it took to fill and drain the water. There was also a TV in front of the bathtub which is the first time I saw one in any hotels regardless locally or overseas so that felt quite amazing. The water pressure in the bath was strong and had multiple systems available which made bathing a true pleasure. The toilet had a bidet system which I enjoyed cos there were many options available. You could just open the both the seat and cover with a button and adjust the temperature of the seat, water and fan easily.
The hotel also provided us with a lovely cake due to our anniversary and they also catered specially to my requests for a proposal.
Checking in and out was smooth and fast as well and the service of the room service and call operators were great.
The only cons for me were firstly the designs and location of the cabinets as inside the grand deluxe king bed room I got, there were 2 cabinets directly beside the TV and there was a limit to how far I can pull the TV out from the console. I couldn't watch the TV while on the couch as it was at the side blocked by the drinks cabinet. The other con I had was the softness of of a marshmallow for the bed. It was too soft for me as I personally prefer a harder bed but the pillows and blankets were good for me so sleeping was still kinda good.
Will definitely go back to Capitol Kempinski to enjoy the relaxing and high quality experience again. Thanks for the VIP-like stay!

Don't choose this hotel if you have any requests as extra bed, or decide to go with your children, or need a taxi. Or anything except what it actually already there in the room. No additional requests.
Firstly, at the booking stage we requested an extra bed for our 4 YO son. It was confirmed by the hotel. During check-in we asked about an extra bed, they said there is a sofa bed, which we can use as extra bed, they just need to make it ready. We mentioned to the reception staff that it is really, extremely important that they make it, and they reassured us everything will be ok by the time we are back from dinner. We came back at 11PM. By the way there was no employees at the desk for 7-10 min. We asked again whether it is arranged, and again were reassured that everything is ready for the kid. Well, guess what, it was not made. They had 7 hrs to arrange it, and there was nothing ready in the room. I have to mention it was not a standard room, we paid a lot for this stay and was expecting at least some kind of a service from Kempinski. Why do I need to go back & forth and ask 5 times about the extra bed we requested during the booking stage? Why your employees lie to my face about everything being ready and still not being able to put on bed linen within 7 hours?
Moreover, we ordered a taxi on the day before our departure. In the morning there was no one at the reception again, and we had to wait for 10 min for someone to come. I must admit that yes, it was 6:30 AM, but it's a 5 star hotel for God's sake! Fortunately for us, after some time taxi arrived and we finally left this horrible place. Me and my family are quite often visitors at Singapore and had much more pleasure staying at Fullertone, even if the hotel has older infrastructure, Pan Pacific, Mandarin, or basically any other hotel than this.

From check in to check out. I must say I enjoyed my stay!
Booked directly and the package included early check in 11am and late check out 3pm the next day; with 20% off dining discount when charged to the room. And of cos the legendary Grand Deluxe Room.
The hotel is linked to the City Hall MRT which is super convenient and good location.
Upon reaching, the staff was attentive and lead me to the check in area where the lady in red Stella was. Then Aslinda brought me to my grand deluxe room at the Stamford Wing located on level 2.
She also introduced the room personally. The room view is facing the Hill Street. The view upon opening the room is beautiful. However from the sofa, unable to view the TV as it was blocked by the cabinet. All the non alcoholic beverages at mini bar are complimentary.
I also tried the afternoon tea which included mooncakes samples. The set was average. I have ordered the laksa for dinner via in room dining. It's nice! They also provide turn down service and they also delivered the pillows that I have chosen during the pre stay preference form with the pillow menu list. Must say the bathtub is nice but the shower room is kinda small for my liking. During covid times, they also provided 2 masks and 1 hand sanitiser for the stay. I had a good night sleep though the room was facing the road and the breakfast restaurant downstairs. The next morning, breakfast was good. Alley and Jennie provided good service at afternoon tea and Alley for breakfast too. Cassandra assisted my check out for my stay smoothly. I will be back to experience the Grand Deluxe Room at another wing as the room layout differs in each wing.
The bedroom slippers were one of the most comfortable I tried so far. The room card was so cute and square.

Had the pleasure of spending a night here after a trip to Langkawi and before heading back to the states. I wish I had the opportunity to spend more time at this hotel and when I return I will. Really amazing.
The hotel is ideally located within walking distance to shops and all the sights tourists or business folks would be looking for.
The staff is wonderful and extremely responsive. This includes those at the front desk as well as the bell hops and breakfast attendants. We took advantage of the pool and an attendant constantly asked us if we needed water or add'l towels.
Breakfast was included and robust with everything you could ask for.
The room was wonderfully appointed with a terrific bed and a massive bathroom. The mini bar was well stocked and non-alcoholic drinks were complimentary.
What really stands out is the help of the staff. Check out was at noon and they easily accommodated our late check out request. Additionally, they let us use the pool and facilities (our flight wasn't until 10PM that night) and also provided us a room where we could shower before an 18 hour flight home. We were so impressed. So much so that not only will we stay here next time we are in Singapore, but we are looking to stay at the Kempinski in Slovenia when we go there in the Spring.

We stayed for only 4 nights so we didn't have a chance to need laundry.
There is however, 2 malls connected or a short walk from the hotel. I'm not sure but there maybe a laundry shop in the basement area of the mall.
I was not aware of them doing so but I would contact them direct to be sure.
I have been to Yotel, it has a robot moving around.
Not sure if they provide cot for young one. But they did set up a bed at the sofa for me and my family, my kids were 2 and 5 then. Maybe you can call in and they will advise accordingly.
