We were both impressed by the cleanliness and the thoughtful layout of the bungalow. The bbq was located near the dining area to facilitate for easy transfer of food and fan to blow the BBQ smoke away from the inner parts of the bungalow. The bbq area also had a outdoor sink and huge bin for easy access. The bottom floor was wheelchair friendly with flat flooring. The living hall was very spacious as well. The pool was also huge with a sizeable children section. The location was also located near the Changi costal park for a scenic evening walk of morning run. Car lots is also provided near the bungalow to transfer your luggage.
Some things that were lacking which was despite the free wifi, the internet TV with Netflix was not able to connect to the internet which was a pity. There was also the sound of planes taking off every few minutes although with the windows closed within the bungalow, it was not very loud.
Overall, we were very pleased with the experience. Some tips for fellow travellers would be to book the bungalows nearer to the bungalow reception for closest access to the pool and reception. The bungalow we booked 35P was near the pool but the access area was way near the bungalow reception instead. One may consider the sun facing of each bungalow as well that would heat up the bungalow. We were fortunate as ours only had the morning sun and did not affect the rooms. However, I observed some bungalows with their blinds closed throughout, Also a bit of common sense, keep your bungalow balcony and main doors closed as much as possible to avoid insects getting in. As clean as the bungalow is on the inside, the bungalow is still among the thriving nature.
NSRCC chalets are relatively new and recent renovated.
The chalet is a spacious two story bungalow. A kitchen, living room, dining area and a toilet on the first floor and Two bedrooms with toilet on the second floor.
Pros: the staff were attentive. very fast and attentive reception. Clean and decent chalet.
Cons: YOU NEED TO DRIVE IN. even though there are shuttle services at intervals. NSRCC is quite inconvenient if you don't drive.
There are recreational activities located around NSRCC; a golf course, Tennis Courts, swimming pool, arcade and a bowling alley.
We rented a chalet (there are about 40 of them) for 3D2N stay over the weekend. It is one of the nicer looking ones, fully air-conditioned with a covered BBQ pit. Two bedrooms upstairs with two single beds in each room, and a shared toilet. The rules permit up to 8 persons to stay in the chalet, but only 4 beds are provided. Toilets are a good size and come with water heaters. The chalet has blackout curtains, certainly useful given the number of late night parties and revelry going on into the wee hours. You can order BBQ necessities and even food from the club at extra cost. Many chalets catered food for the parties. The kitchen is furnished very basically with cutlery (no knives) and plates/bowls/mugs for 8 persons. There is a microwave oven and an induction cooker with one pot and lid (no frying pan/wok), cutting board and one knife. If you plan to cook, please bring your own pots/pans, utensils, oil, seasonings etc. A mop and pail are supplied (no broom), but there is no waste bin in the kitchen. Bring your own trash bags. The TV has limited channels, and the rattan sofa isn't the most comfortable to sit on for long. The dining table seats 6. The whole chalet smelt very musty and mouldy like it needed a good airing. Bring your own essential oil diffuser to chase away the smells. Toilets come provided with toilet roll and bars of soap for washing hands. Suggest you bring your own liquid soap for the kitchen, and washing detergent. The chalets can get very busy and crowded on the weekend evenings, and there is also the sound of aircraft flying overhead throughout the day and night due to the proximity to the airport.
A decent place for a weekend getaway as long as you don't mind the noise, and come prepared.
As a Gary Player designed course, I am disappointed with what seems like a simple layout on an acreage of flat land. There are no signature holes per se and the placement of bunkers and its depth makes it quite ridiculous (my Handicap is 7).
Facilities, judging by the cleanliness of the locker rooms, is below par and you have to have a map and a patient taxi driver to get there.
Thus the purpose of this review is give fair warning to those that wish to save a few bucks, as I experienced.
Very big and spacious to occupied more than 6 Adults.
But need to ask for extra mattress at extra cost.
A very great starting place for my morning run, right just outside the chalet entries.
BBQ pit don't need to book with a extra cost like most other holiday resort.
Please take note, there no Wifi available in the room it self.
Overall it is a good stay!
