Booked a Mono room through the Starwood website. Service was good, but the room was adequate, if a bit average for the price. We booked a king bed, which was actually two twins shoved together and disguised as a king with a thick duvet. Many toiletries also seemed missing when we entered: we had no bath soap and tissue, although...

While the windows are thin and the noise goes until the wee hours of morning, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Wanderlust. The rooms, albeit small, were accommodating and comfortable. Just stay with someone you're very comfortable with!

On arrival the staff we very friendly, and made us very welcome. The room, a Mono Room, was decorated in a really 'funky' style, had a big bed, most comfortable, free mini bar, safe and toiletries available. The room was made up daily, and keep very clean. All of the staff were most friendly, and helpful. Breakfast was in the...

Fantastic wee spot outside the main CBD. Loads of extras including, free mini bar, free cell phone with unlimited local and international calls as well as data. You can take it everywhere with you and tether to your personal phone for data everywhere. Friendly service, fantastic breakfast included. Only thing I didn't enjoy was the coffee but not bad enough...

I am actually a UK based travel agent and visited this hotel for a site inspection on a previous visit to Singapore (though the hotel didn't know that). I said to myself then if I ever came back, this is the hotel I would book for myself...so I did and I was not disappointed!! We checked in on a Tuesday...

Spent 1 night in the Mono room. Room was comfy and clean and the service was good. The lobby area is pretty cool, but the rooms fell short of my expectations as it wasn't as quirky as i would have expected from a boutique hotel. But nonetheless, a comfortable stay!

Wanderlust is a unique, quirky, very clean hotel staffed by incredibly helpful employees. That being said, we probably wouldn’t book a pantone room again any time soon. Whilst I cannot vouch for all rooms, the green pantone room certainly was an experience. You quickly get over the overt colour of the rooms dismissing it as eccentric and fun; however, this...

Hi Katie B, Thank you so much for your candid review on TripAdvisor. We appreciate honest feedback as they serve as opportunities for improvement. Being in a conservation building, we recognize that some of our rooms may be more compact than others. With all our rooms individually designed, perhaps we could have you try another room for your next stay,...

Had a 1 night stay at this SPG member hotel as it was the cheapest available in downtown Singapore. It is a funky, hip type of hotel which may cater for a more outgoing and interesting crowd. I rammed into the platform a few times in the middle of the night as I had problems locating the switch to switch...

Loved the experience of browsing the website and choosing the rooms. The room itself was pretty but we found that the space and the furnishings weren't so functional. For example, there was just one awkward chair, the sofa was too tiny, the bath tub had sliding doors that couldn't shut properly so it was leaking as we showered. It was...

Stayed at whimsical room with my son for staycation. The place is really cool with my favourite coffee machine and a good range of tea selections. Love the loft layout except the steps is very steep and not suitable for people with weak knees and little children. Mind your head when going under the steps. Sharp edges.

Staying in Little India

Neighbourhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly coloured saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colourful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Centre, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colourful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Wanderlust in Little India draws madcap, curious voyagers to the old ethnic enclave. Made for guests with a sense of adventure, we invite you to walk the unconventional path where a radical hotel experience awaits. Its history began in the 1920s as the Hong Wen School, where the building at No 2 Dickson Road still retains its old-world charm with an unchanged façade. Situated 10 minutes from the cosmopolitan stretches of Orchard Road and the Central Business District; Wanderlust also offers door step access to a bustling, colourful street life. The four storey boutique hotel has 29 rooms. Just as no 2 rooms are identical, the same can be said for each floor in the hotel. It features the groundbreaking works of award-winning Singapore design agencies. Each agency was given full creative freedom to design an entire level in the hotel, resulting in four, different ‘in-your-face’ themes – ‘Industrial Glam’, ‘Eccentricity’, ‘Is It Just Black and White?‘ and ’Creature Comforts.’ ... more   less
