This hostel is in a good location (10min walk from bugis station + bus stop just outside), good facilities and even a food tour. The only issue I had was that the receptionists there should try to have a more warm and welcoming attitude towards the guests. One of them gave me a very cold and frustrated look when I...

The five stones hostel is located in the very center of Singapore. The MRT station is only a 10 minute walk away so everything is easy to reach in a short time. The rooms and bathroom was very clean on my floor (the female only floor) the breakfast is very good and the lounge area is very nice. They have...

Clean bathrooms and bedding, quiet at night, great air con and wifi, personal locker, lamps and plug sockets. Free breakfast - with marmite!!!! Location is convenient, close to shops, bars and restaurants and the train line. Would highly recommend to any backpacker.

This place is great, but has its cons as well. Location is great. Rooms are clean, beds are very comfortable, breakfast is really good, and the split shower floors is a smart move to make women feel safer. However, the hostel is a bit pricey, and I agree with some precious comments...too busy, and people are really noisy and disrespectful...more...

For someone who like to get the most out of their stay in Singapore I would not recommend this place, people are disrespectful and you won't get enough sleep (in dorm) if it wasn't for the rude people who showered, screamed and turned the lights on during the night I would've gave them five stars! But since it was impossible...

Sadly this hostel has become too popular. It now attracts regular travelers as well as backpackers and therein lies a problem the staff has not much control over. However I believe they could do a couple of things. First off the good... excellent location, strong wifi, free laundry facilities (two sets of washer/dryer), elevator (Yet not handicap-accessible due to the...

The location of this place is very good - right next to Arab Street and about a 10 minute walk from the subway. The bunk was comfortable and clean, and the staff were very friendly - they even sent a very useful welcome email, setting out how to get to the hostel, which was very useful. However the bathrooms were...

I stayed here for one day. The hostel is very clean, the bathroom and everthing perfectly functioned. Only problem i had was the snoring neighbour below me. Other than it, everything was so awesome, definitely gonna come back here again next time.

Five stones is great. On a popular street, with subway station around the corner. Could walk to the bay within 30mins. We stayed in 20bed dorm. The rooms were big with aircon. Each be had a reading light and two sockets. You also have a big locker in the room. It's all shared bathrooms. Staff were helpful and nice. Very...

Singapore's best and friendliest hostel! With each of our rooms featuring interesting designs, Five Stones Hostel gives Singapore cultural elements a refreshing new lease of life. Quirky designs and decor characterize our spanking new boutique hostel. Boasting one of the best beds among Singapore hostels (8 inch orthopaedic spring mattresses, no less) and conveniently located within 10mins walking distance to the majority of Singapore's key tourist attractions, it's the latest addition to the plethora of high quality budget accommodation in Singapore which blurs the line between hostel and hotel. ... more   less
