this formerly Regent Hotel has been tastefully refurbished & rebranded as Conrad Orchard. The new look is brighter, with predominantly soothing beige and cream tones in the spacious & comfortable bedrooms. Other touches is the easy to use shower buttons, & high quality toiletries.
The spacious and impressive architecture is a refreshing change, from the more constricted interiors of the newer hotels. There is ample meeting spaces on the ground floor, and the fine dining Chinese restaurant Summer Palace is outstanding. Service is good and the concierge/doormen are consistently friendly & helpful. It is also easy to catch taxis, & the Tanglin Mall is just next door
i plan to return. Minor glitches are the TVs in the rooms are not located optimally, and the aircon ventilation could be better

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for 1 night last week and was absolutely blown away by the level of service and the wide range of F&B and amenities.
The newly renovated rooms are absolutely stunning with comfortable beds, spacious rooms, great shower and Byredo shower amenities.
The staff at the Executive lounge were just spectacular! Miroshini, Nurul, Fika and Monique took such great care of us from check-in, to happy hour to check out. Also had the pleasure of meeting Elly from from the Reception who was charming, friendly and helpful.
Had afternoon tea at Tea Lounge, dinner at Basilico and drinks at Manhattan and just wowed by the quality of food served and service we received. Loved having these great dining establishments all in one building.
We also took advantage of the morning yoga session by the pool and we highly recommend it to other travellers who are visiting. All the equipment - yoga mat, water, towel were provided and shoes were not required.
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and cannot wait to be back!

My mum, sister and I booked ourselves a little holiday in Singapore and decided to treat ourselves to a suite at the Conrad. This was the best decision we could have made because the stay was the most comfortable and luxurious we’ve had!
The room itself was lovely, it was large enough for all 3 of us and they had thoughtfully laid out our beds (2 single beds and 1 sofa bed) prior to our arrival. There was a pillow menu to choose from as well which was much appreciated after a long flight! There were 2 loos in the suite which made things easier.
We were well looked after by all the staff and the process from check-in to check-out was easy and stress free. Breakfast was great and had a good selection of local and continental food with lots of veggie and vegan options available.
We had access to the Executive Lounge and the entire team there was fantastic! Fiqar at the Executive Lounge was especially helpful and friendly and made sure our time in the lounge was great. He very helpfully gave us lots of recommendations for local food options and we had a great time chatting with him and the staff! He was even kind enough to print us out a little photo memento on our last day and we are very touched by this little gesture!
We also found it very convenient to stay at the Conrad Orchard as it is located right off Orchard Road and has excellent public transport links to everywhere you need to go. The staff in the lobby are also very helpful and gave us information on how to get to places/helped us book taxis if we needed them.
I would wholeheartedly recommend the Conrad Orchard Singapore to anyone planning a little getaway and hope to stay there again myself soon!

The hotel service standard, for a lack of better word, was almost schizophrenic based on my most recent experience.
At 12noon, an expected peak hour for check-out/check-in, there was only 1 poor lady manning the reception counter. To her credit, professionalism was upheld to the best standard, albeit waiting time was unbearable.
Service in the executive lounge was impeccable by most of the team, which made the use of the lounge enjoyable.
However, the hotel became another animal 9 floors down at Basilico during breakfast. Firstly, when we returned to our allocated table after taking our food, we realised the table was occupied by another couple. All the staff said to us was to take another table.
Putting that behind us, we continued to have our breakfast amidst the warzone. One would not expect to witness the following in a hotel of Conrad stature:
(a) For some reason, the cover of a juice dispenser fell onto the floor. We witnessed a commotion unfolded where staff appeared to be bickering amongst one another who caused it. The most appalling was 1 staff member attempted to put the cover back without washing it until another stopped her. Kudos to the other staff even though that was a basic 101.
(b) Requested for a first waitress to clear our plates, she walked past my beckoning. Almost felt like I was starring in the Sixth Sense.
(c) Proceeded to approach a second waitress, and instead of explaining that she will be back shortly after she provides a set of child cutlery to another table, she simply showed us the cutlery using non-verbal cue before walking to another colleague to ask that colleague to assist.
(d) Now, here comes the funniest bit of this section of the story. The colleague continued doing what she was doing originally, aka arranging plates on a side table. By now, I lost whatever remaining patience I had and strongly told her to clear our empty plates. You would have thought she would have just done that? No, she came and posed the most bewildering question a diner would ever expect : " Why didn't she (referring to her colleague) clear your dishes?". In response to my answer of that is not a question for me, she promptly said she was going to complain to the manager. That left me absolutely speechless.
(e) Just before we were leaving, we noticed that suddenly the troop of seemingly soulless characters woke up. Thats when we realise it was because the "general" (believed to be the manager) came. All of a sudden, 3 staff members congregated to diligently clean a table. Had half a heart to ask the general to come earlier the next round.
Post-facto, this sounds like a comedy. However, it was a horror movie there.
A seemingly inadequate amount of training. The lack of camaraderie amongst staff and missing initiative is a concern which may slowly diminish the status of the hotel if nothing is done. One of my favourite hotels for staycay and I only wish the best for it.
Management, pl do something about it.

I called them out for not honoring any of the Hilton loyalty benefits. The reception responded in a passive aggressive way throughout the conversation - basically telling us you take it or leave it, as they are "fully booked" - which could not be further from the truth as we could see the availability of the rooms through hilton.com. The breakfast was a total chaos, and the quality of the food was terrible. The size of the room, for a Conrad hotel, is tiny and the room was not cleaned properly - we could see hair lying everywhere. The safety box wasn't working and it took a long time for someone to come and sort it out. The wifi was not working for a whole morning. The hotel is catered exclusively for local wedding banquets, and hotel guests are generally treated as second class citizens. In short - avoid.

We chose to stay at the Conrad Singapore Orchard for our last night in Singapore and we were very pleasantly surprised with the excellent service we received. Our room was not ready when we arrived at 2pm but we were accompanied to the executive lounge for some refreshments while we waited for the room. Room was ready within before 2.30pm (we noted the time as this was when the afternoon tea service started). They offered very good cakes, scones and sandwiches. The lounge also offered food and drinks at 6pm and breakfast from 6.30 am. During our time there, Fiqar looked after us and provided good advice.
We will definitely return to the Conrad Orchard should we come back to Singapore in the future. Keep up the good work and thank you for the excellent service.

During my recent stay at Conrad Singapore Orchard, I had the pleasure of experiencing the exceptional hospitality that the hotel is renowned for, especially Font Desk Team, Ms. Minh, Ms. Jia Yee very kind and profestional.
Our most positive experience began with the people at the reception area who were very friendly and helpful. The room had a very comfortable bed, fantastic view, large shower, great wifi, and a desk. We enjoyed the pool and worked out in the gym which had Life Fitness machines.
The breakfast was extensive, containing noodles, rice dishes, breads, eggs, juice bar, fruits, pastries,... many things there you should try.
Highly recommend for you stay and meet everyone here fo feel "it is not service, it is welcome home".

This property is quite special, certainly in my Top 5 Luxury Hotel Favorites in Singapore (#1 is the Shangri-La on Orange Grove). As one who has been traveling a fair amount to Singapore since the late 1980's, I can tell you that this property started life as the Pavilion Intercontinental Singapore in 1982, and then became the Regent in 1988. After extensive renovation, it opened as the Conrad in late Q4 2023. As with most Singapore Luxury Hotels, it has world class service with an exceptional local team, world-class F&B, and absolutely impeccable guest rooms and baths. It's "off the beaten path" (4-5 block walk to the Western edge of Orchard Road) just enough to maintain a sense of tranquility.

We were eager to try the Conrad after the refurbishment, had stayed at the Regent before the change and loved the old Regent, really.
Absolutely perfect check-in by Mr Shahul, great follow-up by Ms Siti Fatimah - both excellent ambassadors of the Conrad - and a lovely room with the latest high-end mod cons. Our HHonors status was beautifully recognized as well. What a wonderful start!
This hotel comes with some drawbacks, however, the breakfast at Basilico being the greatest drawback: you wait 25-30 min in the narrow lift lobby/corridor (at weekends, 10-15 min on other days) and watch people constantly jump the queue as they come out of the lifts without respecting the guests standing in the queue already, followed by a full zoo in the restaurant. Don't get me wrong - the gentlemen and the entire team work so hard and try their utmost plus the food is good when you finally get there, it's just the planning and execution of the breakfast that goes so wrong. Not Conrad style!
The pool is very small and crowded most of the time, forget your morning swim or evening laps after a long day at work or sightseeing.
Fully understand the negative and frustrated comments on this forum about the Conrad having been a disappointing experience. We loved the team at check-in and at breakfast as well as the room that came with subtle earthy tones and the latest high-end mod cons, however, we found the rest somewhat annoying. I wish we had known that the Conrad has become a Chinese family resort (90% of the guests, as it seems), and would have booked elsewhere - we booked a recently refurbished high-end business hotel with an international guest mix, and all of a sudden we found ourselves in a noisy and messy family resort. Don't get me wrong: we have loved our travels across Asia the past 30 years and do our very best to respect people from all cultures equally; we just felt the Conrad didn't quite live up to our expectations so as to wrap-up our five-week Asian tour this time in a classy and uplifting environment.
Will we be back? Yes, I think so. The team and the hardware are excellent. We just need to find a slightly quieter period for our next visit.
