Goodwood Park Hotel garners commendation for its spotless premises and spacious, comfortable rooms, with many guests appreciating the seamless blend of historical allure and modern amenities. While a handful of guests find the rooms slightly outdated, the impeccable service and prime location near shopping and dining options more than compensate. The hotel's value is acknowledged by most, as is the wide array of amenities that contribute to a tranquil yet convenient stay.

Our one week stay at The Goodwood Park Hotel in Singapore was intended as a trip down memory lane. We had stayed there several times during the 1980's and had not forgotten about the charm of the hotel.

We were not disappointed on this holiday. From the moment we stepped out of the limousine we were greeted with friendliness, thoroughness and efficient professionalism, throughout the entire staff of the hotel. Even as we walked through the corridors to our room, all staff, from gardeners to management offered a friendly smile and a 'good morning' or a 'good afternoon'. It was so refreshing.

This gracious old hotel has an aura of charm with its wide corridors, french doors and beautiful furniture and accessories in public areas. It exudes a quiet beauty and is surrounded by large, tropical gardens.

Our room was beautifully maintained to a high standard and we didn't want for anything. The room had all expected facilities and the hotel was quiet, especially considering it is on Scott's Road. It is in a perfect location to drop down to Orchard Road.

I cannot compliment the staff highly enough. Restaurant staff couldn't do enough for us and the front desk and concierge staff went well above the call of duty and were genuinely interested in assisting.

In an age of high rise and staff rushing about with self importance, but not much interest in the guests, the Goodwood Park Hotel was an exquisite place of charming calm and efficiency.

We will return and our sincere thanks to everyone who made our stay so pleasant.

The room was elegant with calming neutral tones . Large sized considering the prime location . Good lighting which enabled me to get a fair bit of reading done and strong WiFi so business travellers should have no complaints. Efficient reservations staff like Ashley, were prompt in addressing all enquiries. Check in was a breeze and they graciously allowed an early check in since there was availability. My thanks to Rifqi. This appears to be a hallmark of Goodwood's service standards. Staff appear very well trained , cheerful and always tried to accommodate where possible. The buffet breakfast though not as varied as some of the other hotels had enough of the basics (salads, cold cuts, bacon , eggs, waffles) to satisfy. I enjoyed the porridge with condiments and Japanese rice with teriyaki Saba. Again a cheerful hostess setting up places despite quite a few turning up towards the end of the breakfast period. Even their one contact phone service to address all enquiries was prompt, responsive and helpful ( thank you Renee). At check out Rosheen told me there was full occupancy that day due to some flight cancellations but still graciously granted me a half hour extension so that I could at least get cleaned up after my Orchard Road jaunt. Location of hotel is great for trawling Scotts and Orchard Road , and they do provide complimentary parking too! All - in a great stay for National Day!

We picked the Parklane Split Level Suite at Goodwood Park Hotel for a five day visit to Singapore in part because of the wooden floors. My wife has an allergy to dust and so rooms without carpets are usually much better for her. What we didn't know from the Agoda web site is that these apartments are in a separate building to the main part of the hotel, and are usually for long-stay visitors. This turned out to be important because they haven't been renovated for a long time and the room we were given hadn't been properly dusted. After just one night, we both had asthma and discovered that the air conditioner filter hadn't been cleaned for years, rather than every month, as expected. Every hidden surface was similarly dusty.

I shared our discovery with the hotel staff and they responded immediately and were really helpful. A new hotel manager, Jimmy, immediately visited our room and documented its state. He explained that a refresh to the long-stay rooms in the annex was planned. We were offered a room in the main building and then, before we moved over, it was upgraded to a suite. This was large and in perfect condition, which made the rest of our stay a delight.

All the staff were kind and helpful and Jimmy, in particular, made sure that we felt well cared for. So after a dusty start, it was a wonderful stay.

I recently stayed at Goodwood Park Hotel in Singapore with my wife for a week. While the hotel boasts a prime location and comfortable rooms, it falls short in terms of cleanliness and service, which I expected to be better from a five-star property.

The hotel certainly has its strengths. The lobby is grand, and the presence of a doorman and porter adds a touch of sophistication. The location is another major plus—being next to Far East Plaza and just a short walk from Orchard Road makes it incredibly convenient for shopping and dining. However, the check-in process was less welcoming than expected. Although the staff were polite, they were somewhat distant, and it took more effort than it should have to get their attention when we needed assistance. I didn’t approach the desk immediately, but standing in an obvious spot without acknowledgment for several minutes was disappointing.

Our room was spacious and clearly designed to impress. The bed was one of the most comfortable we’ve experienced in a hotel, and the blackout curtains ensured a perfect night’s sleep. The room’s soundproofing was also excellent, keeping out both street noise and any disturbances from the corridor. However, while the furniture looked visually appealing, it wasn’t very functional. The long cushioned bench under the TV, for instance, looked stylish but wasn’t comfortable to use as seating.

The lighting in the room was a mix of modern and traditional styles, which gave it a unique feel. However, the more conventional lamps required manual switches, which seemed out of sync with the contemporary aesthetic of the rest of the room.

The main issue we had was with the cleanliness of the room, particularly the bathroom. While it was visually impressive, the mould in the shower grout was noticeable and could have been easily prevented with routine cleaning. This was a disappointment given the hotel’s five-star status.

Cleanliness was also an issue in the bedroom itself. Although the bed sheets and towels were regularly changed and clean, the bedroom floor had clearly not been vacuumed or mopped thoroughly. Walking barefoot made this quite apparent. One day, despite leaving at 8am, our room wasn’t serviced by 3pm. We were asked to wait 30 minutes, but it took closer to an hour. These delays and lapses detracted from what should have been a seamless experience.

In comparison, during our stay at Le Grove Serviced Residences in Singapore (a three-star hotel), the rooms were consistently spotless, and the staff were attentive without delay. Despite being a more affordable option, the service there was far more personalised and efficient, highlighting the disparity between the two properties.

In summary, Goodwood Park Hotel has undeniable charm, with a great location and comfortable rooms, but the lack of thorough cleaning and distant service marred what could have been a five-star experience. While the hotel has potential, I’d expect a more consistent level of service for the price. With improvements in cleanliness and staff engagement, it could easily live up to its prestigious branding.

I love heritage hotels like Goodwood. Everythg was great on the first night of stay. Met Amanda who was attending to me as she was able to show me two rooms for me to decide on. Just the checked in was a bit long as she was the only one front desk officer who was working at that time. And then met Nathan, who has been extremely attentive and approachable and he even gave us great advises on what to do right during the stay, where to park the car. He also allows my husband to park at the car park outside the hotel to drop off our luggages and kids too. Just so happened on the second night, there was a married couple who stayed on the same floor. The noise pollution was really bad. Not only from two person but a group of them. They shouted and screamed and laughed till 3am!!! 😡 don’t they know hotel stay basic rules that there should not be any noise at night?! whereas i have my kids and a baby sleeping at that time. I have called the reception at 1am and 2am ish but there wasn’t any solution given. The reception mentioned they sent their security to check the first round but there wasnt any noice. This is a total lie as the group of people were shouting throughout the night. During check out on a Sunday morning, i had to wait for 20 - 25 minutes for luggage pick up. The reception claimed that there’s only 1 bellboy working at that time. But when I reached the entrance and approached Loges, he mentioned no one called him for luggage pick up and he immediately ran up to help on this matter. When I was in the room waiting for luggage pick up in my room, a waiter came up with a plate of fruits to compensate the complaint I had made. But i did mentioned i am checking out and if it’s a nice gestures to treat the customer, then at least they should packed it and send over. But they didnt. The manager Jimmy then came to explain the entire situation and apologized on the same. He offered a free upgrade of room provided i book the standard range room the next time i come. In my opinion, at least the Management should offer a complimentary stay of one night as the entire night of sleep has been disrupted/ruined. And we were supposed to return to KL the next day with a long journey drive. Overally, i felt if there weren’t this incident, it should have been a great stay!

The buggy service was prompt and the driver, Nathan was very chatty, friendly and welcoming. Nathan spoke Hokkien, which was a value add, hearing a familiar local dialect from home. Housekeeping was prompt and accommodating to requests for extra bottled water and Naga helped to fix a faulty light switch promptly and Mala from reception provided alternative solutions and was very reassuring and responsive. Really enjoyed our stay here, great for family gatherings.

Old and nostalgia hotel which gives one a colonial feel unlike those typical high rise building hotels. Great customer service from all staff especially Mr Thomas Wong who is exceptional! Room is of typical size which comes with a big balcony overseeing a small pool. Toilet is a little small but comes with bathtub which is great for my kids as they loves hotels with bathtubs. Unfortunately, my bookings doesn't comes with breakfast as it will cost more and the main pool was under renovation so we could only use the smaller pool which is just below our room. This is a more affordable 5 stars hotel if you're looking to stay near Orchard area. It is only within 10mins walk to Ion, Wisma and Takashimaya shopping malls. Beside it is already the Far East plaza which has many eateries and convenient stores. Going anywhere from here is also very convenient as the Orchard mrt is only within 8mins walk!

Excellent service, the room is clean, tidy and spacious. The breakfast is rich and cost-effective, especially the front desk staff Aslam has a great attitude, attentive and thoughtful! The front desk staff are very warm and kind, the room network connection is a little guidance, and they will take guests to the room and help with heavy objects. The use of the equipment in the room will be explained patiently, including the use of room cards and electricity cards. It will definitely be a preferred hotel next time! Because of the language barrier, I got the best help in the first time for the problems I encountered, and they helped to deal with them patiently. Let us not be so helpless in a foreign country. Thanks again to all the staff for their help, and recommend everyone to come to Singapore and experience the Goodwoodexperience hotel!

Goodwood Park is a beautiful old colonial hotel. The staff are excellent - friendly and helpful. Bathrooms in some rooms need updating particularly to install showers separate from bathtubs. The hotel is well located with lots of good local eating options and close to Orchard MRT station.

The rate depends on the room type and dates of stay. I’d recommend checking the hotel website or calling them to ask about specifics.
