Swissôtel The Stamford Singapore comes highly recommended for its central location, offering direct mall access and proximity to transportation, making exploration a breeze for guests. The hotel earns accolades for its spacious, clean rooms with impressive Marina Bay views, although some guests note the decor could use refreshing and noise can be an issue.
While opinions on value vary, with some finding rates reasonable and others pointing to high costs for parking and services, the attentive staff, especially in housekeeping and the executive lounge, generally receive praise.

Our visit was from Boxing Day to the 29 December 2024. We caught the MRT from the Airport and it was pretty straight forward arriving at City Hall and a short walk through the shopping centre to the lobby. The Checkin was a self serve and we used the assistance of a staff member as they had increased the bill by a few hundred dollars and we wanted to question this. They informed that it was an additional charge for any incidentals that is refunded if you don’t use it. This was great as we were happy once we knew what the charge was. The room wasn’t ready so we stored the luggage and went to their shopping centre below. There is a great food court on the basement level as well as a supermarket where you can get some supplies.
The room was ready on time and upon entry we were pleasantly surprised at the size of the room considering we were three adults and there were two double beds and a sitting area and not once did the room feel cramped. There was a coffee pod machine but they had forgot to supply the pods, after a quick phone call the pods arrived. There is a filtered weather tap in the bathroom to fill up your water. This comes out only in a dribble to place your bottle under the tap and walk away and do something else’s for a little bit as it fills up. Our room number was on the 18th floor.
We placed a booking for the Skai Bar on the 70 floor and this is a must as the view was spectacular and the drinks and wait staff were excellent. We did not eat dinner at any of the internal restaurants, however we had breakfast included. We went to the Clove restaurant for the buffet and it was fantastic with plenty of options. It was extremely busy but there was plenty of staff on hand to ensure that as soon as you finished your plates were cleared away. If you want a cooked fried egg or an omelette you go the egg station and a chef prepares them for you. There was a massive selection of fresh fruit, danishes, cereals, cooked dishes. If you want a hot chocolate you have to ask one of the staff for it and they will make it and bring it to your table.
The pool area was massive and we didn’t use the pool but went to the area and checked it out, there is the bar area and a cafe so you could spend the day there if you wanted.
We walked and caught the trains everywhere heading down to the Marina Bay Sands precinct, to Orchard Road Shopping Centre all via train. We purchased the tourist 3 day pass which as perfect for our needs,
Overall we were vey pleased with the facilities of the hotel.

I booked into the Swissôtel The Stamford Singapore for 4 nights to help celebrate the birthday of a good friend from Saigon.
The 60th floor room (#6055) had a large balcony with a fabulous view overlooking Merlion Park, then on to Marina Bay Sands and out to the sea.
The suite was pretty spacious and had Executive Lounge access on the 65th floor with fabulous views of Singapore. The morning breakfasts and evening drinks and meals served in the lounge were truly highlights. The service & food was second to none.
On the birthday of my friend, housekeeping not only left a chocolate cake in the room but also created a wonderful birthday message on his bed. Please see the photo. It was truly a special touch & totally unexpected & greatly appreciated. It showed an element of thoughtfulness which all too often seems to be lacking in so many other lesser hotels.
For the birthday dinner we ate at Skai restaurant on level 70. This was a very memorable experience and I have written glowingly about Skai separately.
We also had lunch on one day at the Brasserie on the ground floor and found it very satisfying.
All in all, this was the perfect choice for our stay in Singapore. I will be back next year with my 82yo father and we will definitely stay here again as I know he will be taken care of and truly enjoy every aspect of this 5 star hotel.

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveller reviews.
A hotel that is too large and does not provide the welcome that we now expect at this level of the range. North American rather than European approach which aims to be effective if not welcoming. I thought when I arrived that I was going to have to check in myself at the large table set up with screens.
Anyway a strange check-in process that requires having to enter information collected when booking online.
Malfunction which probably explains why I was directed immediately to the reception on the 65th floor dedicated to the reserved room category. Reception hardly more efficient because I had to provide my Accor loyalty program number even though I booked using the Accor application!).
Another consequence of this “chaotic” arrival despite the provision of passports and the taking of photos on the ground floor. My friend who forgot his access card had to call me in the middle of the night because he was unknown in the system. If I hadn't responded, he would have stayed in the lobby all night or even outside the hotel because the staff refused to accompany him to the room door!
Empty mini-bar! To avoid plastic bottles, a small glass bottle is provided but only one for a room intended for two.
Positive point, as often only 3 Nespresso capsules. However, without complaint, 6 the next day and the following days.
Bedroom :
Upgraded to a "Signature Suite", large, pleasant corner room but old generation without separate shower.
No electrical outlet on either side of the bed.
No electrical outlet in the bathroom suitable for the hairdryer provided.
To take a bath, you must enter the bathtub to close the flow of water, come out, have your arm long enough to turn on the water. It looks more like a space intended for a shower in which a bathtub has been placed without positioning it so as to use it in the best conditions.
No real storage space for your belongings apart from a cupboard without a shelf (photo). Various locations would have made it possible to overcome the difficulty. As my father would have said, we should condemn architects to live in the spaces they design.
A large table but with only one chair unless you consider that it would be a desk but even a second chair would have been nice.
No way to turn on only the desk lamp or the living room lamp when the bedroom is in night mode. It's all or nothing. Not easy when there are 2 of us in the room and we don't live 100% at the same pace.
Other :
An extremely small gym with three pieces of equipment (a stationary bike, a treadmill and an elliptical trainer) accessible only to residents on the upper floors. Residents of other floors, in case of overcrowding or outside of 7:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m., large gym without toilets in the neighboring hotel by passing through the communicating lobbies!
In other words, despite this beautiful room and its view of the port, I still have to find another hotel for my next stay in Singapore.

Booked 4 nights pre cruise. Arrived late on Friday and check in was a breeze. Accor Plus member, bottle of wine and some fruit as welcome gift. Room 2754 marina bay suite. Great views. Hotel is nicely located near Singapore flyer and gardens by the bay and Clark quay for anyone doing tourist activities. Room has Nespresso coffee machine, pods replenished daily, 2 x toilets. Shower is awesome, pressure is the best we have had in hotel. Lights are controlled from a couple of master switches . Bed is very comfortable. Room has 2 x balconies with views of Marina Bay. Housekeeping staff are fantastic. Little touches like folding clothes and rolling up charging cables they didnt need to do. Got some laundry done, while expensive, my wife who is a bit OCD about clothes and folding was impressed with the service. All the staff have been friendly and helpful. Club room. On L65 - with our room being level 27 we need to change lifts on L38 to access the higher floors and club room. Breakfast great variety with both western and Asian offerings. Eggs to order at the egg station. Evening canapés, some hotels have limited offerings of hot food and sometimes run out. They were putting full dishes out around 7.15 (end of service 0730). The two gentlemen in the club room 17/11 were very good, albeit very busy with only 2 of them. Their service was first rate and they were very friendly. Overall a great stay and will stay here anytime we are in Singapore. Highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely 4 night stay. Very clean room every day courtesy of Thi Hang and Shau di. Room upgrade on arrival to the 45th floor was great. Awesome view from the balcony of the Marina Bay Sands and the bay. Filtered tap water in the room is a smart, sustainable initiative to reduce reliance on plastic bottles. Good buffet breakfast with plenty of choice, and a great lunch on the 70th floor at Skai restaurant. Shower is over the bath which is fine, strong pressure to the rain shower. People with mobility issues may struggle stepping over the bath. I didn't like the check in process standing and playing with a computer. Some may love it, I'd prefer a more personalised service as part of Accor Gold status.

The view of the sea from the high floors is great, and you can see the direction of the Sands Hotel and the Merlion; it is within walking distance to Clark Quay and the connected shopping mall, which is suitable for shopping in summer and dragging luggage on rainy days. Convenient transportation and location, friendly service staff!
Water in Singapore is very expensive, but there are filtered drinking water heads in the room. You only need to bring your own container, saving you the trouble of buying water.
Only check-in seems to be self-service at present. There are many computers operating at the counter. However, when I booked a room directly from the official website, I couldn't check in by myself. In the end, I still had to queue up and wait for a manual counter... There is only one manual counter. It's just one person and one table. I hope this can be improved.
It is quite convenient to check out, self-service is no big problem!

The hotel is very conveniently located directly above the City Hall MRT station. You can reach all the sights very easily. The possibilities to explore the city on foot are also excellent. A room with a view of Marina Bay is worthwhile. The view is breathtaking - especially from the upper floors. We were lucky enough to be guests of the Level 65 Lounge. A complimentary breakfast buffet in the morning and cocktail reception in the late afternoon with light snacks are very pleasant. The choice of food is sufficient and beautifully presented. All the staff(!) in the Level 65 Lounge (Cheary, Roderick, Ronald mentioned by name) make the stay a special experience. One more thing: far too little praise is given to the ladies and gentlemen who ensure that the room is clean and beautiful every day! The housekeeping (Zhen Qiang mentioned by name) makes sure that you want for nothing in your room. Unfortunately, the rooms themselves are a bit outdated. The price-performance ratio is ok so far. If we come to Singapore again, we already know which hotel we will stay in. Thank you for a wonderful time!

It was clean and tidy. However, the water is quite dirty, so if possible, I recommend bringing a shower head with a filter. Still, they do basic cleaning and organizing very well, and the front desk staff responds kindly and quickly to requests (much faster than before). Basically, it is a hotel with nothing to be particularly dissatisfied with because it is in a very friendly location for public transportation and food. Other than that the swimming pool and sauna are a bit weak? Overall, I am satisfied. Plan to use again!

The stay was nothing to write home about. Our room had a balcony, it was sparse but comfortable. The bathroom was on the small side but clean and functional. Eco friendly hotel amenities provided. The Buffet Breakfast at “The Cove” was a very busy place (Get there early to avoid queues) and it seemed that they ran out of dishes at times. The toasters could definitely be upgraded to Commercial Conveyor ones (this would help reduce the queues). The lobby was also a busy space. It was not clear when the coffee shop run by the Stamford Brassiere in the lobby was closed - A Closed Sign on the counter would help. The hotel has a great location within Singapore and is very centrally located downtown near many attractions. Also, you can get to the hotel from the City Hall MRT station without going outside if it’s rainy or too hot. It is part of the Raffles City complex and shares this space with the Fairmont Hotel and a shopping complex.

View n location. Bed n pillows were great. Very clean. Breakfast was good. They understand hygiene. The cold cuts ham salmon were placed in a transparent refrigerator. Top notch coz most hotels just place it in open for bacteria to grow.
Nespresso machine in room Free WiFi n drinking filtered water from the tap
