This hotel make us all feel Royal. The level of service, cleanliness, room standards, and surroundings are impressive. Yes, it has a price, but for a business traveler like me it is well worth the money. My days are filled with stress and meetings, so having this oasis of wonderfulness available on off duty times, makes it truly my Shangri-La. Also the breakfast with its at least ten different cuisines if fit for kings ! The selection of food and fruits is astounding. There’s a chef at each station, specialized in his specific thing is seems, and they remember their guests impressively well. I just have to show my face nearby the “omelette chef” and he makes the exact omelette I like - every time ! The rooms have high standards, with the needed amenities, safe deposit box, and the usual stuff. Wonderful view from most rooms, good desk for working, cooler, motorized curtains, etc. Also, try the pool or the gym. Very nice and well equipped facilities, free to use for guests. Transport to and from is also a breeze. The Mongolian Warrior watching the doors can do magic when it comes to fixing taxis. The metro is around ten minutes walk away, Orchard Rd. St, and from there you can get almost anywhere quickly. Get the three day tourist pass for 30 SD, it gets you anywhere - even to Sentosa Island. I’ve stayed here a few times now, and will definitely continue doing just that. Shangri-La is also a nice spot for families, if cost is of no issue, with its super nice pool and gardens to play in.

We've had a fantastic 3-nights stay over the Christmas period. Would definitely come back & and recommend it to others. Here's our experience: As a young family of 3 with a two and a half years old toddler, we are always looking for comfort, children activities, convenient location & great food. Shangri-la ticked all the boxes & even exceeded our expectations. From the arrival until the check-out we've had the best time. The hotel was very busy due to the high season of Christmas but everything was always delivered smoothly by the staff. The check-in was done quite fast & our son received a lovely goodie bag. Huge attraction for the kids is the kids' club. It is one of the best we've ever seen anywhere in the world. From soft play area, to organised classes & activities, music studio. Super cool & our son had so much fun! Pool area was great too, lots of palm trees around, nice layout & the green area on the side with a walkway down is beautiful. Generally beautiful hotel grounds, well kept & lovely to enjoy. We've had some food & drinks by the pool and all was good. We've also tried the kids pool which is in a different area & it's really fantastic for kids of all ages. For breakfast we've opted for delicious pastry at the cafe in the lobby. Everything was so delicious! We love how there was a choir singing Christmas carols during on a few occasions. The lobby was decorated so beautifully for Christmas. It was a full on Christmas feel in Shangri-la which we've really enjoyed. Generally we've had some arranged bookings in the restaurants outside so we were always heading out for that, but we actually have regrets we didn't check out the restaurants in the hotel. So definitely we will do that next time. The location of the hotel is great too. We've walked to the Orchard Road for Christmas shopping every day of our stay, it was a pleasant 10-15 minutes walk. Our room was comfortable, also good size bathroom. We've also stayed at Ritz-Carlton Milenia during the same trip to experience the other part of the city (separate review) - great stay too but Shangri-la would be the place we would come back in the future for sure!

We had 4 nights on the Horizon Club floor. Room was a good size with all the usual amenities you expect at this level The Horizon lounge exceeded expectations and staff were very attentive. The range and quality of the food provided at both the breakfast and evening buffets was very good. The only small downside is the location, not very convenient for public transport but there are always taxis. We would stay here again.

We had a wonderful experience at the Shangri-La in Singapore. Starting from our arrival at the hotel, we arrived at 9am in the morning and were offered a complimentary early check in and a room upgrade as this was part of our our honeymoon trip. We really appreciated this as we had just come off a 13 hour flight. The staff at this hotel are extremely friendly and helpful, the breakfast offered a variety of different cuisines and the pool area was perfect to just relax and take a swim. The hotel is located in a very nice area (Orchard) and everything is walking distance: supermarket, money exchange, shopping mall (ion Orchard) which is connected to the underground system. There are plenty of restaurants on Orchard Road for lunch and dinner, you can also get food in the Mall food court or take the underground for one stop (Newton) and enjoy the food at the Newton Hawker Centre. As a tourist you can buy a travel card which allows you to use the underground system unlimited which is very useful to get to the main attractions in Singapore.

I was really looking forward to my stay here because this was the original Shangri La hotels. Very good price but I was prepared since I had seen previous ratings. There was an issue with my reservation which was the fault of my travel agent. Somehow, my non refundable booking was cancelled. Although it was my travel agent's fault, I didn't think front desk handled the situation very well. I waited a very long time for them to figure things out and once they had determined it was my travel agent's fault, they were quite cold about things and offered me a room at the current rate. I thought there were many things they could have done to make the situation better. I was only at the hotel 1 night but for the rest of my stay, no one mentioned this to me or checked up on me again. Service standard was not that great. This was across the board from the porters to reception to people in the Horizon Club. I don't think a single person approached me during my stay. Big difference from the Four Seasons, where I stayed the next night where everyone asked me how I was, how they could assist me, etc. I was in a King Horizon Club Deluxe Room. The room was nice but a bit dated. Lots of space and spectacular views but some buttons (like the curtains for one of the bay windows) only worked intermittently. The Horizon Club offers snacks and canapes. Again, maybe I looked unapproachable but no one ever approach me in the Club to pour me cocktails and drinks. I did observe they were nicer to select people (in my opinion). Breakfast is also included but we took breakfast at the Line restaurant, which had a magnificent buffet. When I checked out and was asked how was my stay, I did tell them about how I felt the service/attention level was lacking. I made a complaint online and within 24 hours, the manager of the hotel contacted me. He was very sympathetic with my situation and apologized for any embarrassment this had caused me. Although it wasn't the hotel's fault, it really wasn't my fault either but they took a very cold attitude. The manager handled the situation very professionally and gave me a free night's stay, which my son later used. My son's stay was very nice and there were no service issues with his stay. So all in all, my experience was average but how the manager handled the situation made be think my experience was perhaps a one off. It is a lovely hotel and at the right price, I would consider staying there again. I just hope that they can bring up their service standard and compassion as that is what sets great hotels apart. Afraid that I didn't catch names but wanted to say a big thank you to all the staff particularly on reception and the concierge who made our stay all the more special. Also the doorman who, tried contacting our arranged lift without success when it didn't turn up, but managed to find us a taxi, despite the fact that it was raining to get us to the port to join our ship. Lost count how many times I have been to Waterfall, their Italian restaurant but it is also a pleasant experience. I enjoy this little eco-system where hotel and dining establishments are generally kids friendly. Complimentary parking is always welcomed, together with earning of Golden Circle points. Roy and his team is like a well-oil rigged, consistently high performing and we often felt welcomed home. The food is definitely better than many other hotel restarants and the semi private room is our preferred dining table - extremely comfortable even for 10 pax. This restaurant is not exactly gastronomical but hits every other spot if you want a smart casual, hearty italian food with proper wine list and glasses.

We needed a getaway from our hectic everyday routine without travelling far from home and shangri-la was a great option. Wasnt expecting much. But it was way beyond our expectation. The staff all around was great with elderly and kids. Love the ambience and there is so much activities to bond us together as family. Shout out to ashvindar, jega, soban, raj, dylan, gwen and all the buds staff, they make our stay truly a memorable experience for my family and kids. Love to see that their so passionate in their job amidst the hustle they went thru after pandemics. Will definately come back ❤️

Stayed here for 10 nights, the hotel is beautiful, the food at breakfast was good, but extremely disorganised and is reminiscent of a zoo. There were people just stacking their plates and tables full of food, then leaving it, it was such a waste and resulted in shortages for everyone else. By 09:30 breakfast wasn’t being replenished and therefore we were left with cold leftovers that were left in the serving bowls. The pool was nice, especially the guys with the towels and those serving the drinks, however, again a few people spoiled things, the jacuzzi said no children, however, it was full of children whilst parents just left them to splash everyone. Again none of this is the hotels fault. Unfortunately there had been rain one day, and unfortunately due to the slippery steps outside our friend fell down the steps. The hotel staff and duty manager were great, the only issue was they didn’t have sufficient first aid items and we couldn’t stop the bleeding.

Booked a horizon club room and Check-in was fast and seamless. Room had a nice view. Also the bed was very comfortable Food at shang palace was excellent Interactions with staff generally very pleasant Gian at lounge was always asking if I needed anything , and made me a mocktail despite the lounge not having any, Ella recommended me some tea Lobby interaction with Hakim was nice and Jaya Raj at Line was also very friendly Massive gym with plenty of equipment and nice, huge, swimming pool Also noticed staff at health spa hard at work , frequently cleaning/disinfecting the gym equipment Huge variety of breakfast at the Line, although it was more quantity than quality. Although the lounge breakfast had quite a different array of food and of higher quality. Will definitely return again.
