From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by the huge open space of the room. Furthermore with the outdoor bathtub and upstairs study area it felt very luxurious yet somehow homey. Would definitely stay again

I have stayed at Lloyd’s Inn around 4-6 times over the years. It has always been a really good and pleasant experience - a tranquil green escape in the middle SG. However, this stay was not up the normal standard. The staff are (as always) very friendly and helpful, but two things brought down the overall experience: 1. The facilities and rooms seems a bit run down now. A bit dirty in the edges. The walls are banged up and the furniture in the room is completely worn out (I literally couldn’t sit on the lounge chair in the room without fearing it might collapse). The outdoor furniture in the pool area has definitely also seen better days. 2. Room 29 sucks! Both days I stayed there I was abruptly woken up by the housekeeping around 7.30/8.00am because of the commotion and noice they were producing outside my door (they had some sort of storage room out there). It sounded like a Boing 747 was taking off in the hallway. Since I was in town for meetings, my sleep was very important and this was therefore a huge inconvenience. I still think Lloyd’s Inn is a nice little, boutique hotel that encapsulates the SG feeling really well, but I might stay somewhere else next time I’m in town. Unfortunately.…

Great little spot tucked away in suburbia of Singapore but close to Robertson Quay. The design of the hotel is funky with clean lines and very simplistic. We loved it. Unfortunately, we didn't get time to use the pool but it looked very inviting. It was fine to walk to the cafe for coffee and a pastry, but we called in on the Asian restaurants along the route for something more substantial. Beds and pillows were comfortable and we loved the "outdoor" style shower. Would definitely stay again.

Really amazing stay! Room was really clean and spacious. Bathtub was really big and comfortable. There was also a breakfast set included at a nearby cafe. Pool was really nice tho it’s a little small. 10/10 stay. 😁

This was my wife's and I firs trip back to Singapore since late 2018, this time buy ourselves (child free for first time in 18 years!). The hotel we normally stayed at (Novotel Clarke Quay) no longer exists (now a big hole in the ground) so we looked for something different from the norm...in Lloyds Inn, we found it! And what a fantastic find it was. The hotel is located in a quite part of the city, which we found perfect - in fact its right around the cnr from the 1st PM's house where he lived for many years. From the time we booked into the time we left a week later (8 days) my wife and i could not have had a better time. The Staff I have to say were outstanding - nothing was ever too much trouble. Front the front counter crew to the staff who serviced our room daily. They themselves made our stay that much better. Thank you. The hotel is neat and tidy with everything one would want without going over the top. My wife and I are non-extravert people - the room (ours was a Big Sky Room) was perfect, with the outdoor bath and shower a fantastic novelty - plenty of hot water! The bed was very comfortable, and the room amenities were just right. We had no issues. Yes, there was a small problem with the Internet / Wi-Fi towards the end of our stay, but it wasn't inconvenient; it certainly was not the fault of the hotel. These things happen. As an example of the front counter staff going above and beyond, i have booked a special evening out for my wife, and had booked a taxi well in advance thru the hotel, only for the taxi company cancel the booking 30 min beforehand without any reason...The young lady at the counter pulled out all stops to get a taxi (she must have rung every company in Singapore) even to the extent of using her own 'Grab' app on her phone to find one, which she did, and we arrived at our booking with 5 mins to spare. This certainly would not happen in our home city of Perth, WA. (On separate issue, travellers to Singapore should be aware that the standard of taxi service (i.e., booking or catching one off the street / Taxi Stands) has deteriorated to a very poor level, and I have been traveling there since 1987. - 'ride share' has a lot to answer for). Anyway... The vouchers offered by the hotel are a fantastic idea, being only a 4-minute walk to the cafe where the coffee and fresh bakery is outstanding. If you want more, that's not an issue, and by staying at Lloyds, you also receive a discount from the cafe. The MRT is only a very short distance walk from the hotel (Sommerset is the closest followed by Fort Canning). There is a good selection of small restaurants on the same street of the cafe; we tried them all and could not fault any from service to food quality or quantity. The small Thai one at the end closest to the Police station was our favourite! There is also a quirky Irish Pub in the opposite direction (towards Fort Canning MRT) that also serves a good meal. There is a chemist directly opposite the cafe and a small but well stocked supermarket two doors down from the chemist. Overall, if you're looking for a quiet, clean and straight hotel with fantastic personal and truly caring service then my wife and I cannot recommend Lloyds enough. The staff (all of them), location and atmosphere of Lloyds make it a truly pleasant place to stay. We will be back. Well Done!! …
