I was welcomed by the friendly staff; and the waiting room was super nice as well. The whole system is very decent; had individual access card to the room and also personal smartphone with free 4G access! It was super handy since I do not have any Singaporean number to begin with! The room was quite okay; the linen is... More

The place is really nice. Access cards lends additional security. We stayed for very less time inside the hostel but had good time. The bathrooms / washrooms were clean. The handshowers are not working in most of the bathrooms. But overall it's good. The breakfast was very nice. The location is very strategic. It's very close to Nicoll Highway MRT... More

Good and helpful staff but location not that good. Free breakfast and wi-fi. I stayed for 2 days in single room. It was clean and well maintained room. Couch down and Bed on top type of room. It's bit small but that's what you get for small cost.

If you value your health or have asthma problem, stay far far away. I booked and paid for 2 nights but left after a night & moved elsewhere. They obviously have a serious black mold problem. You can smell it from the corridor & the smell is almost unbearable in the room. I suffered from itchy eyes and sore throat... More

Had a nice two nights in this hostel, stayed in private room with shared bathroom. Towel has to rent SGD2, breakfast is provided (simple breakfast, cornflake, toast), the best one is we were given a free smartphone with 4G internet complete with charger, use like your own throughout your stay. The nearest MRT is Nicholle Highway MRT Station, at first... More

Everything was going fine with our stay, the bed, towels, showers, free breakfast etc. Our room was very small and especially we were 3 guests, it took a lot of effort to go around the room to arrange our things. Despite this, all of this we were okay with the hostel. UNTIL We went back to our room around 3pm... More

It is worth for money to stay here. as other traveller mentioned, it is simple but clean. The "Handy" is value added to allow you call local (and international call for selected country) the bad is, don't expect too much for the unlimited free drinks (Coffee, milo) , you will feel plain water taste better. anyways, it is still worth... Super friendly and helpful reception staff. Rooms were tiny and kind of sparse but beds comfortable, air con great, really did the trick for an inexpensive place to stay and the location was A1. Once I had a good look around I knew I would be happy here and have decided to extend for a full 5 nights. I would... More

I stay at a room for 4. The room is very small but the bed is comfortable. There's simple breakfast (bread, fruits & cereal), with unlimited usage of coffee machine. The nearest MRT station is Nicoll Highway (around 5 minutes walks). The location is great; near Bugis street, Kampung Glam, Haji Lane, etc. There's lots of halal restaurant nearby. However,... More

This hostel is ok, not great. A few points let it down. First of all, it's in a great location. Nice area, not far from the Kampong Glam area, which is a must visit. About a 20-30 minute walk to Marina Bay, which is a nice pleasant walk, and again a must visit, while in Singapore. From outside, the hostel... More

Staying in Kampong Glam

Neighbourhood Profile
Kampong Glam
This traditionally Malay enclave of Singapore offers an alluring array of shops, cafes, and bars. A walk down Haji Lane offers quirky shopping, while one block over, Arab Street is a treasure trove of brightly coloured fabrics, clothing, and Turkish rugs. Stop for a leisurely coffee or cocktail and watch local kids play traditional games along the lane. Also home to the Malay Heritage Centre and one of Singapore’s most prominent mosques (Sultan Mosque), Kampong Glam is a must-visit for a tantalizing taste of Malay life in this city.
