Detailed Reviews
Great location. Right across Chinatown Point Shopping Mall and Hong Lim Food Center in the front and very close to Chinatown.
While hallway noise did travel very clearly through the walls and door, it did quiet down after 10 pm. No complaints about the noise.
There is a design issue (nothing that the hotel can do) that I was quite frustrated with. The bathroom walls are opaque glass but light still travels through. Therefore, if you need to use the washroom, you end up lighting up the whole room.
Furthermore, there is no door between the shower and the toilet. So, if you shower, the toilet area gets totally wet. It is all enclosed inside the bathroom so it doesn't affect the room itself but it was sure not designed for two people.
These folks only provide a bathroom mat and two bath towels. No hand towels or any other towels. Therefore, washing your hands - you need to use a bath towel. Not a deal breaker but not an ideal situation.
There is no restaurant on site. No breakfast but this was no big deal because there are so many large hawker centers a block or two away. If you need coffee, Starbucks and Mcdonald's are across the street.
For Singapore, this is a reasonably priced hotel.
After saying all of this, if the price point is decent, we would consider staying at this hotel again.

Location is outstanding. Maybe 4.5 is a more accurate rating. Stayed in the fifth floor suite. Very nice. You do have to carry your bags from 4 to 5. Not a big deal for us. Staff was professional but not overwhelmingly friendly. Not bad, just business like. Not a lot of help when we were looking for eggs for breakfast. But again, we’re in Chinatown! So their inability to direct us was unsurprising. The hotel was clean. They do nickel and dime you: $2 for two extra towels. If that sort of thing irritates you, beware. For us, it wasn’t a problem. It’s only $2. Strength? Location, location, location. If you want to see Chinatown, eat twenty dumplings for $8 from a stall, tool around People’s Plaza, this is the location. Right off the Chinatown MRT stop. For me, it was a fine hotel and perfect for what we wanted. I don’t need a fawning concierge. I want to walk across the street and find a hundred stalls of different Chinese food, all of it for $5 to less than $10. We got that here. But read the other reviews. If little things like a dollar for an extra towel bother you, maybe you want to find someplace else. As for us, we’d happily stay at Bliss again.

Room Tip: It’s hot, hot, hot. Maybe $20 for a taxi from Changi instead of the MRT?

Writing in our last night here.
Famies do need to book two rooms since each room really fits two people. Bummer that we were split between floors.
Service is top notch. From the housekeeping staff to the front desk we interacted, they go above and beyond for any request. Asked about getting a taxi the next mronig and he's making notes to get it ready for us. They take complaints about noise very seriously, especially since the rooms are not well insulated and noise between rooms is noticeable.
When it rains, you can hear it, and we're on the second level inside. The restaurant next door had karaoke Fri night which is loud. The front desk is apologetic for it.
It has what you need to get Ina dn out. Location can't be beat. Easy access to TWO MRT lines. The food scene in the area is unreal. Just shop with your eyes to eat, forget about reviews. Explore. It is very central to everything.
The shower and toilet being close to each other is different but you get used to it.

The Bliss Hotel was perfect for us staying in Singapore for a few days to catch up with family in March 2024.
The welcome from the Reception staff on our arrival was warm and reassuring…our room was clean with a comfy king bed, efficient air con and fast wifi.
There was a kettle, very important to us…complimentary coffee and tea makings and two bottles of water were provided every day.
The shower was efficient and clean, with space to put our toiletries, everything we needed.
The location in Chinatown is perfect with the MRT nearby, everything suited us as we wanted a simple comfortable base to enjoy Singapore.
I would definitely stay here again and recommend the Bliss Hotel for anyone looking for inexpensive accommodation in a great Singapore location.

Clean modern rooms, with decent size. Location is very convenient with MRT just across the street and lots of food choices around. The price is also very reasonable for the amenities and location of the hotel

The Location of Bliss Hotel in the outer fringe of Chinatown is really good for travelers who wold opt to move around Singapore via MRT. Chinatown Station is just across the hotel beside Chinatown Point Mall. The mall has a decent food court and budget shops such as Value dollar. 7/11 and Cheers are also within the vicinity if you need water, snack, and sundries.

We loved our stay here and would recommend Bliss Hotel to a family of 3 or 4 looking for an affordable hotel option - Singapore hotels are very expensive! Located in the heart of Chinatown it was very convenient to be right next to the MRT station and a huge shopping mall which had dozens of great restaurants and takeaways for all tastes. Plenty of local souvenir shops on the street behind and a short walk away from the magnificent Buddha Tooth Relic Temple.
The room itself was small but still good value, and had nice aircon and the beds were really comfortable. The staff were friendly and helped us arrange a taxi to the airport when we left.
We did have a problem when we checked in as we had received confirmation that we could check in at 9am, however we were told this was not possible when we arrived. The man at reception was very apologetic l but I was very disappointed that his manager refused to talk to us - we were very tired from a long flight and I was upset that the manager showed no interest in helping us, and refused to talk to us even over the phone. There had clearly been a mistake by confirming our check in time, and I thought it was very bad behaviour by the manager to leave his staff to talk to us and to not have the courage to speak to us. That said, we were very grateful to the staff member for his help. Maybe the manager should ask his staff for some lessons in customer service.
That said, overall this was a very pleasant stay and I would recommend Bliss Hotel to other travellers. We loved our stay in Singapore.

We arrived early and were very tired after a flight from the UK the lady on the desk was amazing, really helpful and sorted baggage storage and access to get changed and freshened up (also got us checked in a bit early)
The room was spacious, bright and clean. The entire hotel was spotless and every member of staff we encountered were pleasant and chatty. It is directly across the road from China town MRT which you can get to from the airport and all the main attractions.
We 100% recommend this hotel and would stay again without hesitation. Thank you Bliss Hotel.

A compact size hotel with excellent location, just across the street from the underground train station for Blue line with underground connection to Purple line. Although I did not appreciate the springy bed, it was actually adequate and not bad. The room is a bit on the smaller size, but amenities are standard and you get what you pay for, besides the location can't be beaten for the city of Singapore. I recommend it for people who want a convenient location, especially for food and restaurant lovers.

In a rush, booked a Superior King by mistake, Superior rooms do not have windows (dark so great for sleeping late). Our room was on the main floor so no elevator needed.. I wanted the Deluxe King which has windows, upper floor (stayed in one before). The room was fine, clean, enough lights to get by, king bed, shower, AC, TV with a few English channels (2 Fox Movie ones), kettle, tea/coffee, fridge, TV, chair, work area, lots of outlets & good wifi. Great location in Chinatown, near hawker centres, restos & all the great shops around. We've stayed here about 3 times over the years and has been a consistently good place to stay. Solid choice but next time will book a room with a window.
