I've been to different countries and stayed in some cheap hotels but this one is unbelievable. I can't even imagine why i stayed here, well most of the time i was outside so that doesn't matter anyway. But just to give other travellers or anyone who wish to book here to please consider it first. 1st the room was very...

Singapore during the Formula 1 is too overrated. At other times there is nothing to do. Orchid Garden as the main attraction, what a joke proof! This hotel is the most miserable of those where I lived for three years. But the hotel has a distinct advantage - location. I want to say that for a person who is not...

Good points: Refurbished rooms are quite acceptable with brand new air conditioners (which I'm very happy with), showers are clean, brand new toilet bowl (WC) and basin. The floor tiles installation were not so good, cement screed not properly done to provide gradient, causing slight ponding. Could be easily solved by installing a shower screen. Water pressure and temperature is...

Stayed on 4th level floor for $130 singapore dollar and got a wretched small cell. There was no hot water, and the walls thin enough to hear noises coming from the corridors. We booked in late around 9pm and were a little desparate and the staff were not helpful at all. Stay down the road at the hostel for a...

My friend and I were booked into a twin room hostel down the road, but their aircon was down so they told us they'd put us up for free in a hotel for the night. Had this not been a free, but booked online, I think we would have seen the room and left straight away. We had to share...

I booked this hotel for one night because of its price and location near bugis. I late check inn and early check out next day. Rooms are basic with many things that need some maintenance. At least aircon and hot water were running, tv with only few clear channels. I could not see or here any indices of red light...

Okay, so they rent rooms by the hour, and there is a mosque next door. But for its location and value, it is a gem. Singapore is very expensive. But if you are there for business or pleasure IN Singapore, and don't want anything but a SAFE SECURE place to sleep and shower, THIS IS IT!!! A short 5 minute...

Staying in Kampong Glam

Neighbourhood Profile
Kampong Glam
This traditionally Malay enclave of Singapore offers an alluring array of shops, cafes, and bars. A walk down Haji Lane offers quirky shopping, while one block over, Arab Street is a treasure trove of brightly coloured fabrics, clothing, and Turkish rugs. Stop for a leisurely coffee or cocktail and watch local kids play traditional games along the lane. Also home to the Malay Heritage Centre and one of Singapore’s most prominent mosques (Sultan Mosque), Kampong Glam is a must-visit for a tantalizing taste of Malay life in this city.
