Definitely cheaper than other hotels. However, that comes at a price- No Wi-Fi in all rooms. All though they Advertised as having wifi Via Makemytrip (On Enquiry The Receptionist Showed Me Some Weird Terms And Condition which stated there might not Be Wi-Fi in all rooms). Having said that; all other Receptionist Except One Was Very Sincere, kind and all...

After deciding to extend our stay we had to move hotels and so chose Perak for 3 nights and it was a good decision. Location is close to an MRT and walking distance to Little India and Bugis. The building is a more traditional style and has a lot of character. It is located on the edge of Little India...

ok the room was effectively windowless, very small, 3 mattresses on a sleeping platform and not much other space but as an experienced camper/trekker/hosteller it was withih my normal range of accomodation. Wife and adult daughter did not complain. Aircon good. Cleaning good (I don't like my room fiddled with but wife insists). Reception friendly and we got a drink...

Well located just in front of the mrt station and off the main road. Walking distance to lots of food choices (chinese, indian) and few cheap local cafes and mini marts. Hotel is simple with no frills but clean and adequate. Decent buffet breakfast with hot meals daily (was free for us, included in booking). Staff helpful in suggesting places...

Having stayed here in 2014, we had no hesitation in booking again, it is a friendly little hotel, in an historic building in the heart of Little India. Yes the rooms are small and the free breakfast basic, we had a room with 2 single beds on the 2nd floor this time it gave us more space than the double...

I was visiting Singapore for the first time and alone. I checked out the hotel references from Tripadvisor and decide to book on call. They deducted money appropriately and were always courteous. Especially Mr. Anwar was friendly and helpful in terms of guiding me about the place and locality. This place is 2 mins away from Little India and you...

The staff were all very friendly and prepared to help with anything asked of them. We arrived at 10am and were pleasantly surprised to be allowed to get our room that early. The breakfast was sufficient with eggs made to order and a hot noodle or rice dish on the side. Fresh fruit salad was also available daily. The hotel...

This place really should be called the Polite Hotel. All the staff are just so nice. Every one of them. I really wish it can stay that way. Location is good (for me anyway) and great eats all around. Rooms are small and basic. Could do with more bedding. Be careful with online booking and room descriptions. I booked one...

Staying in Little India

Neighbourhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly coloured saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colourful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Centre, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colourful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.
