Situated in Little India we found the Perak Hotel convenient to Bugis & Little India MTR Train Stations........ Not a 5 minute walk initially but once familiar, very easy to access. Also close to the Bus Interchange for those travelling to Malaysia. A decent walk to Bus Point at Marina for 'Hop on Hop off' bus, China Town, Raffles, Clarke...

Singapore hotels have become so expensive, that I tend to keep the upmarket travel for different occasions. This time, I was travelling with a girlfriend and only passing through the Lion City for a couple of nights so we wanted a safe budget option and Perak ticks all those boxes. The room was clean but basic and the shower reminded...

We stayed here for two nights with our children aged 2, 8 and 11. It is a lovely hotel. All very clean, nice breakfast (but not fantastic), helpful staff and free wifi. Really quick check-in and check-out. The rooms are small (we had one double room and one with three beds) and the bathrooms are even smaller. And the windows...

Compared to other hotels in Singapore, this hotel was the best in price/quality. Clean and neat rooms, with airco. Breakfast was served every morning in the cafe area, good standards, nothing extra. Some personnel were nice, some less nice. If you are facing the streetside, the noise outside could be taking yout night's rest, seems that the Indians are up...

This is a budget hotel as per Singapore standards. However, the rates are high as per rest of the world. The hotel is located in little India which is a plus point for vegetarians like me. They serve breakfast which was not too bad. Rooms are small (as they are normally in Singapore). Provide wired as well as wireless internet....

The Superior room has a comfortable queen size bed, cable TV, a good A/C unit, a safe, and a small cooler containing drinks and snacks. Room was not spacious but adequate. Bathroom has basic amenities. Internet in the room is avalable. The front desk will provide you with anything else you need. The included breakfast will get you going. Don't...

This is a carefully restored building in Little India which has all the colour, sounds and feel of the Far East of yesteryear. The hotel seems to be very well run by efiicient and helpful staff. The breakfast is a bit suburban motel-like, bread in their plastic bags, hot water to make instant coffee and tea, cornflakes and tinned fruit in syrup. The charm of the...

Truely Perak Hotel is a hotel you should look for in Singapore. Reasonable price and a 10 minutes walk to MRT and near to Bugis Street, its a good bargain for this type of hotel. Friendly hotel staff and willing to guide us how to travel around Singapore.

Staying in Little India

Neighbourhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly coloured saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colourful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Centre, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colourful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.
