Easy to find with public transport from trainstation. Good location in Little India. The rooms are not large. I had a double standard. It is an old building, but very well kept. The whole place was very clean. The staff was very helpful and and had answers for all questions. Good breakfast in the morning with adequate selection. The wi-fi...

This hotel is tucked away in Little India the approach is not up to much but the hotel is charming. Immaculately clean and quiet. The staff are very helpful when we wanted a taxi to Raffles the receptionist spent about 15 mins on the phone to ensure we got one. Rooms are basic but comfortable with air conditioning. Free wifi...

The Perak Hotel is superbly located in Little India, not far from the Metro stop and within easy walking distance to many shops, restaurants, and sights. The room and bed were comfortable (although a bit loud). The breakfast was excellent and the staff very friendly and professional.

This place is right in the heart of Little India, surrounded by fantastic Indian shops and eateries and a very short walk from the Tekka hawker centre and market. Its close to public transport and a manageable walk to most of downtown Singapore. For those reasons its a brilliant place to stay for a short stop in Singapore. The busy...

I like this hotel. I have stayed here a lot and it's my first choice any time I am in Singapore (which is at least four times a year). But you DO need to know what to expect. It's definitely basic. Tiny bathrooms, mediocre showers, noise from clubs, mosques and creaky floors. None of this bothers me overmuch. I like...

Good choice but not a budget option. We paid USD 237.58 for two nights, thats basically what you will pay in a similar hotel in the center of Tokyo. (and sorry but Singapore is not Tokyo!) Staff were helpful, the man in charge in reception made me print the Agoda confirmation receive before checking in so you may bring a...

Situated in Little India we found the Perak Hotel convenient to Bugis & Little India MTR Train Stations........ Not a 5 minute walk initially but once familiar, very easy to access. Also close to the Bus Interchange for those travelling to Malaysia. A decent walk to Bus Point at Marina for 'Hop on Hop off' bus, China Town, Raffles, Clarke...

Staying in Little India

Neighbourhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly coloured saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colourful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Centre, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colourful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.
