Our second stay at this hotel and wont be the last! We stayed 12 nights in room 405 (will be requesting this room every stay moving forward!). Nice big bright window, facing away from main road and very quiet. Location is perfect for us, Joo Chiat is a colourful, quieter area with lots of fantastic cafes, bars and restaurants. Housekeeping do a fantastic job cleaning the rooms and are really lovely - special mention to Jerome! Reception are wonderful and provide an excellent customer service experience . We were warmly greeted every time we walked in and out of the hotel, which was nice. Overall another great stay and highly recommend!
Needing a hotel near to Changi airport we booked here as we had a 5am taxi pick up organized for the next morning On arrival we were apparently upgraded to room 510 a family room but alas the room although clean was tired as in furniture was broken and old along with bath towels that were so small wouldn’t dry a baby plus no hand soap on the sink , I know the name “ Budget “ gives the clue but no soap or replacement toilet roll slaps hostel !!! To put the icing on our cake and stay we asked for an early morning call for 04.30am which sadly we are still waiting for , on checking out the night boy who booked the call just shrugged his shoulders and smiled when I asked about my wake up call Not really the service I was expecting but May think again about ACCOR budget properties plus being a member may research other levels of hotels Sorry not a fab day 4/10…
Customer Service is great! The lady at the counter (overnight staff) was amazing. She guided me in getting the local app for taxi to save almost 50% of fare. From Changi Airport to the hotel is about 12min drive and I paid $30 SGD with Grab taxi but same going back with TADA I paid $16 SGD! Thanks for the lovely tip and also booking mea cab! Customer 5 star! Rooms are relatively small. We stayed for one night (Sunday) $145 SGD. i think it was but over pricing given the size of the room and bathroom! However perfect for just overnight stay or transit stay. Good for couple or solo not for family. With our two big suitcases room was jammed pack no place to walk. Location is good!
The front desk gave another guest a duplicate card key to the same room I'm staying. I am with my 3 year old toddler and we both had a scare. We are already dressed for comfort and decided to tyrn in for the night when this guest barged in out of nowhere! When I called the front desk, they informed me that my name was not shown in the system which is absurb! This is very dangerous for solo female travellers if the issue is to be repeat again just because their system is faulty. And the staff don't even bother to investigate. In case that this issue happened, please do a double lock on your door.
I had 12 hours between flights, and because of the Grand Prix almost all other accommodation was the price of a small country. Paid around $80 - emailed to advise of my 4am arrival and asked for a 1pm (instead of 12pm) checkout. Which upon check-in was confirmed - thank you. Room on 4th floor was tiny, but clean and functional. TV worked, 2 water bottles, sturdy bed, clean bathroom, curtains that blocked the light and enough luggage space. 2 people in the room at the same time would struggle. Plenty of food and drink outlets and the usual 7-11 type of convenience stores. Happy with my stay - got a bargain, As an Accor member - didn't get anything else - which I was expecting. Staff were nice and professional. Helpful to get a cab.
Stayed ten days due to Reno at home. Housekeeper is lazy and works with an attitude. He told me they only clean our room late in the afternoon because they give priority to checked out rooms. What logic is that? Our room was not clean until late in the afternoons. There’s no way to rest in a clean room if you wanted to. Another incident was I was told that I will be charged a $20 if I lost my room card second time. Ridiculous isn’t it? I don’t recommend anyone to stay ever in this hotel and certainly I will not return.
Overall, very satisfied with the hotel. Thanks to the receptionist guy who was very helpful. Only point was that the room keys were deactivated around 11.30 am before we checked out. The check out was 12pm actually. Then we couldnt open the room doors with the keys. Therefore, asked the staff to open us the room doors to take our luggages frm the rooms. A bit shocking why the room keys were deactivated before 12pm. We stayed in two rooms and both rooms keys were same. Didnt understand it. Except for that, i will recommend this hotel.
Surrounding Cleaner than areas in downtown. Room for 3 was perfect for us on the fifth floor. Hawker centre and coffee shops nearby. Enjoyed the mrs. Moghan Roti Prata very much. Walked to try the original katong laksa. Lovely stay.
Came for a night's staycation, didn't have high expectations since it is a budget hotel. I feel that the lounge looked dated but that was fine since the check-in was pretty smooth. The room we booked didn't come with windows. We went in to a smell of bleach (which went away quickly). But it was comforting to know - the room was cleaned. Beds and quilt were also clean and good for sleep. Room and toilet were small and no frills. Basic amenities. Shower came with good pressure warm water. The aircon was noisy though. TV was also old and resolution blurry. Location is good with ample food options. Generally, I think it did well for a budget hotel. Would recommend a room with windows though.
We were pleasantly surprised how much we enjoyed this hotel! We didn't have too high expectations as we were only here 1 night due to an extended layover and needed a place close to airport. The room was spotless, comfortable bed (firm, but I liked it) but the highlight of this hotel is the staff! The you g lady and gentlemen that were on reception on the 14th & 15th of May were exceptional. They were so friendly, helpful and just wonderful and really made our stay that much better! Would definitely recommend this hotel.
