This hotel is in several converted shophouses in Chinatown, a block from a Metro station, and right next to the Chinatown night market. It is minimalist--my room was small, with a bed, nightstand, desk with chair, plus a rod for hanging clothes. Bare white walls,...More
Highly recommended hotel right in the middle of Chinatown. Our room was spotlessly clean with a huge, comfortable bed. We had a fridge and there were loads of 7/11 and other convenience stores nearby to get beer, soft drinks and snacks. Literally hundreds of restaurants...More
Location was in Chinatown with lots of restaurants and little shops nearby. MRT station is a few minutes by foot. Amenities were complete. Staff members were okay. Room design was very chic. Cleanliness 8/10. Great value for money.
We booked into here as the location is fantastic. In Chinatown, walking distance to so many things, and 1min walk to the Chinatown MRT (which has been extended, you can go to so many places now).
Upon check in, we had booked the Studio room,...More
This hotel is situated in such a good place that is convenient to the MRT. It’s in china town however away from all the hustle and bustle. Lots of food places nearby. The only downfall was the loud rubbish truck collection at midnight - however...More

Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill.
There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.

Hi. Cots are available free of charge. However we found the rooms smaller than usual and a cot makes the movable space even more cramped. This means that if you have luggage to store as well, it becomes quite uncomfortable to move around. So make sure you ask for the squire foot area of the relevant room since as stated on my original review the photos do make the rooms look bigger then they really are
Having said that Hotel Mono does have some good positives as well, its close to Chinatown and the MRT and is clean
Good luck with your choice. Best regards
Hi Teresa, there's a tinted glass door between bedroom and bathroom but sneaking in and out is possible. The transparent door is the one between the shower and the toilet, and no curtain. Hope this helps.
