We came as a couple in 2016. Decor was quite good and the staff are friendly. Location is great - near Chinatown and all its delicious food places, as well as near (<5mins walk) the Chinatown MRT. Amenities were sparse though. Most annoying thing was the hot water wouldn't work properly - after a few mins (like 5 or 6...

As the photos show you, this is extremely stylish accomdation that has all of the provisions expected of a comfortable hotel. It is in one of the top locations in Singapore within a few minutes' walk of excellent cafes, bars, food courts and restaurants of all sorts, as well as some tourist attractions. It is also around the corner from...

Hotel Mono is a boutique hotel and was just 3 weeks open during my stay. This is a great hotel if you are on a budget. The room was new, clean and had all the basic amenities I needed. The only concern was the toilet being too close to the wall and sink, but still manageable. The staff are really...

Stayed for a night in this newly opened boutique budget hotel. Sleek and simple design. Had a great sleep and the bathrooms are beautifully tiled. Location is superb. A casual bar down the street and tons of food options. Will be back!

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Chinatown is a classic combination of colourful sights, enticing smells, and sometimes startling sounds. The precinct is unique, however, in its blending of religions and cultures. A Hindu temple, an Islamic mosque, and a Chinese Buddhist temple sit almost side by side. This sense of cultural harmony continues as you venture just outside of Chinatown to the nightlife areas of Club Street and Duxton Hill. There you’ll mingle with Singapore’s multicultural residents at the modern bars and restaurants dotting the bustling streets. An afternoon in and around Chinatown will leave you culturally enlightened, well fed, and loaded with souvenirs. In the evening, reward yourself with a well-deserved cocktail as the locals come out to play.
