The monochromatic, minimalist style of the hotel is very modern and stylish but is very basic. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable place to rest and sleep, this is it. It is just a short walking distance from Chinatown MRT and a 15-minite walk to Clark Quay.

Stayed here for a couple of days and had a great stay! Spencer on reception was super helpful and gave such great service. I was really early so my room wasn't ready but there was a big bathroom where I could get changed and sort my things to leave in the hotel while I explored. He said he could email when the room was ready but didn't end up coming back until the check in time anyway. The room was tiny (great for solo travellers but not sure I would've wanted to share!) but was lovely as was the bathroom. Shower pressure was good although the temperature was a bit all over the place so I think the hotel should look at that. Location is perfect- right near the MRT chinatown for bus and underground. I'd highly recommend this hotel and would stay again when I go back to

This hotel gave me a mixed feelings towards the boutique hotels as a whole. Whilst the pictures on booking websites showed nice rooms with tone deaf decorations, truth is not all the rooms are nice. The beds are comfortable but the way the property and room layout is structured, everything felt awkward. This hotel is very well located at the heart of Chinatown and its only 5 min walk to the CBD core. It’s located next to the Amoy St Hawker Centre and also in the other direction it’s 10 min walk to Clarke Quay/Boat Quay night life district. Checking in and out was a breeze and that was all the contact with the staff I had so I couldn’t fault the service. The rooms were expectedly small but since I stayed in a double room so it was not as small as some of the rooms I’ve seen

I stayed 6 nights for business trip at September. It’s nice downtown location. Easy to access anywhere such as restaurants, shopping malls, mrt. Decoration is clean n nice. I got enough space in my room. It’s big room in Singapore. Receptionists are really nice. Also at quiet street at night.

My personal experience during a short stay in this hotel in the Chinatown district of Singapore was one of the best I had. Firstly, I simply love the theme (minimalist-urban-industrial). Then the lovely reception, Ms. Dias, was very kind to make sure that the room was fully prepared during check-in. She was also very pleasant to speak with. The room smelled so nice, clean and everything pristinely done including crisp bedsheets. Location of the single room with window was in a quiet section of the hotel far from the street noise. The cleaning person also was very helpful in providing me an iron/board speedily. Fast wifi/internet, english news channels (RT and DW), ample room warm lighting, lots of hot water for shower and very clean toilet & shower. Last but not the least is

Positives: - Good location, if you like staying in Chinatown (recommended area) - Friendly, helpful, chatty staff (though I don't agree with all the political views we have talked about) - Adequate rooms for the price - Hairdrier provided - TV with local channels! - Plugs that have adapters - Coffee and tea station Negatives: - Walls and especially windows are paper thin so depending on where your room will be facing you'll hear everything that is going on outside! So if you are sensitive to noise don't stay here. The hotel was pretty fully booked so don't think that depending on your first night experience you'll get a room change. We are not sensitive so this was not a problem. - I had to use the WC at the reception area once, it was not so clean!

Hotel Mono was just what I was looking for after a long 20+ hours of traveling from the USA. The room is definitely on the small side but had everything I needed; a comfortable bed, a (private) hot shower and clean bathroom, a window for natural light to help adjust to the time zone, and a strong AC for Singapore's hot, humid climate. The modern black & white design of the hotel is cool and the employees were all helpful.

The hotel is located in a nice area perfect to go around. But we had a bad experience: our room was not cleaned for the 2nd day and we informed the receptionist when we discovered it coming back from our day out. She was surprised too and she checked the room with us, so she tried to change the bins and towels. But the room remained dirty and disordered. In addition, walls had stains of mold. So we asked by email for cleaning price refund because we paied for that but we didn’t receive the service, but none answered. Very unpolite and uncorrect. P.s. the receptionist was kind, we think the hotel management is the problem.

Stayed for 4 nights with our two teenagers. The location was excellent, right in the middle of Chinatown with MRT station at the end of the road. The room was a good size, with everything we needed and staff were helpful and friendly. Chinatown Point shopping centre is good for a quick and easy breakfast.

The only thing I like here is the location. The service of the staff is horrible they are not friendly at all. I don't know if the reason for not answering my questions is that they do not know how to understand english.
