Housekeeping didnt change one of my bath towel and my other towel is dirty. I didnt get inform that housekeeping only from 7AM - 7PM. The check in counter was very nice and calm to take care and giving me an option to me. Since she cant solve the problem i ask to speak to a manager on duty. At 23 november night the manager on duty name is Suzi. Then when she come out, What a supprise she is a very arrogant and bad manner who come from the manager. I got treat like a trash. Act like a superior put me in the worse position. Not even talking nicely to me and calm me down . Suzi just stand on his feet with her BAD attitude then and just leave me without a word. I never get treaten like this, Maybe because its a budget? I didnt know chancellor hotel is a budget with bad attitude and no respect to customer. Thank you.…
My family and I stayed at this hotel for almost a week. It's location is good as it a street away from Orchard and walking distance to the subway and bus station. It is also close to at least 4 malls. The rooms came with a water refilling system. There's a convenience store at the lobby which is also the money changer. However, our experience from checking in to house keeping was very disappointing. The person who checked us in was course and had a rude tone when speaking to us. There was no bell hop to help us with our luggage. When we got the rooms, one smelled like cigarettes, although we booked nonsmoking rooms, and the other smelled like mold and mildew. The door in the hallway leading to our rooms was wedged with a folded up bedroom slipper to keep it open (I kid you not). The bed and counter had nicked edges. The grooming supplies were opened already and never replenished for the entire stay unless we called. When we did call, it was sent to the wrong room. When we arrived, the body wash dispenser was empty and was only refilled halfway through our stay in one room and never in the other. They emptied the trash but apparently did not change the garbage bag as there was a band aid stuck to it from the night before. The bathroom had no lock, just a sliding door. The shower enclosures did not have a door or curtain so water would spill over to the sink area, wetting the floor mat/towel. The bathrooms also did not have a vent making it feel damp. They did change the towels daily but one time we got one that was dried poorly and had a funky smell. The toilet roll holder was right beside the toilet behind your right arm as you did your business, making it difficult to reach for toilet paper when you needed it. Your elbow would occasionally knock the roll off as you turned to use it. Our first roll had brown edges and seemed used already when we checked in. The beds were hard, not firm, HARD. They lobby always had people loitering, some lying down on the sofas and walking around in their pajamas. Although being close to Orchard, we had to walk by an adult sex shop and a bar with a big "Girls, girls, girls" sign on it in order to get to the main road. These are not establishments you would want to walk by with your family. We will definitely not be patronizing this establishment again.…
The stay was comfortable and the team did everything in their power to make my stay pleasant. Special mention to Benny who was very kind in sorting out the issues I had. I would recommend the hotel to everyone who is travelling on business as the location and pricing is very good.
It’s a hotel with poor cleanliness and maintenance . The switch malfunction causing entire my room to blackout during steam iron. Technician attending to the issue at his own sweet time and without courtesy of clarification or even a smile. Disappointing and not worth the money for the hotel service.
I arrived early and got checked in which was good as I was exhausted from a long flight. This was the good point It has a good location and is very central but is hugely expensive for the quality of the hotel, a theme though I find quite common in Singapore now. My room was very small and was very shabby, old and tired. I had booked a double bed and it was the old 2 sinle beds pushed together thing. I was too tired to go and complain at this point but this is a practice which annoys me. The bathroom had mould was too small for the bathtub which you had to climb into to get a shower. Very old fashioned and with wet floors dangerous too. There are better hotels out there with better value for money.
The price for this very bed hotel is to high for the service they aksing for. Breakfast was disgusting and they served everything on plastic plates and cutlery. The coffee was not accepable and mostely all tables very dirty and no place to sit
Good location, 5 min walk to both MRT and only a block away from the Orchard Road. Room is okay, but the noise from the outside especially from the corridor is too loud. Breakfast was not worth, foods was tasteless and some day no milk, very simple and only few iems to choose. Staff was okay but very hard to get an invoice under company name, always rejected the requested and asked to get from the OTA. Even repeated and show them 3 times that the official invoice has to issue from the "property", the reception asked me "property means the hotel????" BTW, I finally recived the invoice after spent mins.
The hotel location is good, but rooms are small, maybe that's how it is in Singapore. But the hotel service is pathetic. They have just one luggage trolley which the guests have to pull to the room and bring back to the lobby. No service there. The room service is also slow and mostly do not understand basic courtesy especially if travelling with small kids. Further, the worst is the breakfast- the menu is 90percent non vegetarian and does not cater to international standards- for eg they wont serve an omelette, or wont give warm milk for small kids. No tea or coffee. The food preparation, even in case of non veg is pathetic. And breakfast is served in disposable plates. The worst part is, that they remove the buffet strictly at 10am and wont offer even a cup of coffee or bread strictly at 10.00am. Not only this, they switch off the lights at the cafe area even if guests are sitting and guests are told to wrap up in the next two minutes. We were traveling with small kids and it felt as if we were not on vacation but in a hostel mess. A very bad experience at the hotel…
Very unprofessional. Bounced reservations later accepted. Room was dingy and shabby. Bathroom was like a public washroom with no toiletries. See pic for tea coffee tray. Surprised how come such hotels are allowed to operate in Singapore.
Basic, Budget, Tour Group Hotel,……..depend on your definition. Many facilities should be immediately renovated after Covid 19. If not, customer may not revisit. We have party of 6 as booking 3 rooms. Only one and only good thing is location. Some issues have been ignored as there were few hotel staff returning to work such as housekeeper. Since it is tour group hotel, - Wrong morning call at 6 30 am on 2nd day - Wrong door knocking at 10:30 pm on 2nd night - Wrong door knocking at 00.45 am on 3rd night Can you imagine how I felt about this hotel? For me, revisit will be not my expectation. If you have limited budget and love Orchard area, please go ahead……… Staff at lobby are very ok….. friendly and helpful
