I was treated to a room night stay by my partner which was a lovely surprise. We were greeted by the manager on arrival and shown to our room which had a lovely view over the water. There are no coffee or tea making facilities in the rooms but we were told a 24 hrs service was available in the... More

We booked, but arrived an hour early for smoko. We were warmly welcomed and filled with sandwiches, cakes and tea. Had a long chat with Al who told us where all the interesting things are in the area that we probably would have missed. He even gave us a map that he'd drawn up to show people exactly where things... More

Really enjoyed our tea and cake and a game of monopoly. Staff were really friendly and helpful. I would recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment. I would also recommend wearing socks as you need to remove your shoes on entering.

I was brought straight to the House from Mount Pleasant and on arrival I was made very welcome, meeting all the crew. I found my room to be very comfortable and warm and gave great views over the landscape, the bed was just right and gave a good nights restful sleep. Meals were served piping hot and the food was... Went for smoko as unable to have lunch ( fully booked) Wondered round grounds, decided to stay the night (random last minute but couldn't tear ourselves away) as they had one room left. DBB I got my roast!!! Great breakfast too. Wildlife amazing, topped off by Peregrine Falcons seen at dusk and dawn!

Recommended by a friend, we journeyed over to Darwin on a fine Saturday afternoon. Found Darwin Settlement and the Hotel with ease. The whole stay was started with the first instruction received. "Leave your shoes here" We enjoyed one of the most relaxed weekends we've ever had. Smoko, followed after a brisk walk, by a superb 3 course meal. Good... More

A visit to the Falkland’s Islands provides many unique experiences but where should we stay? Our challenge was to find somewhere to accommodate 17 delegates on our residential leadership programme. Darwin House came up trumps! Lorraine and Al proved to be the most charming hosts, attentive, flexible and really interested in what we were doing. Food was excellent throughout. Darwin... More

We took the hour long drive to visit Darwin House on some pretty prolific word of mouth. On arriving we were not dissapointed. A regular house has been turned into a remarkably cosy restaurant and hotel . With the wind and rain blowing outside the warmth and hospitality inside could not help but make you feel welcome. The toothfish pate... More

As a traveller, occasionally you come across a little gem of an establishment. This is one of them. It's tucked away in quiet Darwin (about an hour from Stanley) and with wonderful scenery. It may not have a pool or a TV in your room, but what it has, and excels at, is good old fashioned, hospitality. Dished up by... More

This is a wonderful little B&B ... in addition to being a cozy place to spend a few days or simply pop in for a great lunch by a (I think) Macedonian chef, Darwin House is right in the middle of the war's defining opening battle at Goose Green just down the road. If youd been here during the war,... More
