Bordemundo, and specifically Javiera, was wonderful. She made the Puerto Varas portion of our vacation easy to book and a perfect experience all around. The cabanas were well maintained and comfortable. It is located just far enough from town to feel uncrowded, but close enough...More
We had an excellent stay with our family (including two small children) this October. From the minute we arrived, Javiera made us feel completely at home, and was extremely helpful, providing tips on what to do and where to eat. The cottage was perfect for...More
What a fabulous young couple, Lathan and Javiera. We loved getting a guided tour around their property, seeing their birds and the amazing fish farm Lathan has built. The cabin, which overlooks the lake, was nicely decorated. A beautiful visitors book made out of homemade...More
Javiera was a great host and kept in frequent email contact before, during, and shortly after our trip. The location of the cabanas is close to town and there is a remote controlled gate at the entrance which was very nice. The cabins are rustic,...More
The cabin is very cosy and had everything we needed for a family of 4. The view from the master bedroom is fantastic. On site, the kids loved the animals and Javiera was kind enough to show us around and let the kids feed the...More

Definitely. There's a cheap little blue bus (colectivo) that comes maybe every half an hour and you can just flag them down and then get off wherever you want downtown in like 5-10 minutes (for 500CLP or so), or better yet you can get a taxi (I don't remember how much, but it's like 4000-6000 CLP or something - pretty cheap). Javiera can book a taxi for you if you prefer. She is incredibly helpful. You can also walk to the local grocery store just a few minutes down the road. There's a protected bike lane (but no sidewalk) for most of it, but it's a safe walk - like half a mile.

A car most certainly helps get around at your own leisure. However there are taxies (usually need to call them however they will pick you up out side your cabin) and a local bus that runs past the gate every 45min.
Restaurants are all on the road that passes us as you come from downtown and we are 3km away from downtown. Sightseeing that depends on what you want to see, if you want to see a lot I do recommend having a car. However you can take the local busses to most sights or even arrange a tour with a taxi driver and lastly there are the tours offered in town. We can usually help you book over the phone with most of them.
