The hostel is pretty clean overrall, the bathrooms not that much during early hours of shower. Breakfast was good. Coffee or tea, bread, butter, jelly and cereal. Bedroom was nice, good roomates, we changed 4 ppl in 6 days. Deck is nice, though they need to finish the improvements. Staff super friendly.

The only thing we actually liked about the hostel is it's great location in Bellavista neighborhood, walking distance from bars, restaurants and certain attractions. However the rooms are dark, with no ventilation; there are only 3 bathrooms/shower for at least 6 dorms (8 ppl each); the "breakfast" included in the price consist of coffee and a bread. There are better...

We didn't really enjoy our time here. Our private room was in an annexe building next door which meant we felt instantly removed from any communal stuff. But it didn't feel like a very sociable place anyway. All of the action is at the sister hostel La Chimba, which felt more lively. For £40 a night the private room was...

A quiet hostel in a great location near bars and restaurants. It's worth staying here for a couple of nights as it's good value for money compared to the other hostels in the area. From here you can get the metro to wherever you want in the city. We also walked into Plaza de Armas and it took about 20...

Situated around the corner from all the bars and restaurants of Bella Vista. The hostel was a nice play to stay with a good atmosphere amongst the backpackers. The wifi was good and the showers were warm. The kitchen was pretty small but there are so many restaurants close by. Situated close to the zoo and close to the train...

After reading the recent reviews have gone downhill, I gave it the benefit of the doubt , big mistake! Firstly we arrived, very tired & were taken to our room, which was a couple of doors down from the main entrance to the hostel, and in a much older building. We noticed that some of the panels to the doors...

I stayed in a single bed at Bellavista Hostel and noticed rust-colored stains on the bedding. Thinking nothing of it, I slept there for two days. To my dismay I had bites along my hair and arm. The bed was bed bug infested. I talked to other guests who did not have the same experience, so it might have just...

The Bellavista is very eclectic mix of art, music, and traveling. The building is old and delightfully long. You almost need a map to navigate it. There are many good social spaces as well as a few small quiet get away from it spaces too. Staff are great, mostly traveler volunteers. The only downside are the shared bathrooms. They tend...

This hostel is in a fantastic location and is relatively quiet. Rooms were a little tired looking and the beds in the private rooms were really old and worn out. Staff are helpful although some don't speak Spanish.

“If you want to travel and meet people, stay in doors, its a lot cheaper and isn´t that bad ´cause are small romos, I mean, share with 6-8 people. If you move to Santiago to work and need a temporary stay, please for the sake and respect for other guesses... book a private single room :)”
