Most guests are accommodated in apartments in a high-rise on Merced, which is a 300-metre walk from reception. The high-rise has 24-hour guards. The apartments are well kept and clean. The maid comes in six days a week, not on Sundays. There is a supermarket on the first floor. This place is not recommended when you have a car; parking...

The apartment at Merced was really nice, the location and equipment was lovely but (!!)the gas on the stove worked very poorly so do not count on cooking anything in the apartment because you could not even fry an egg. We sent an email to the desk but they ignored it. Second thing - we sent an extensive (and really...

I stayed at the Andes apartment in February 2016 for three nights on floor 22. I really like the location and how quiet it is. It is also very spacious. If you're fussy you will notice that it is A little run down. towels had holes in them, marks on the sheets, wifi & safe didn't work, no aircon, broken...

I do not recommend it. It's a nice place but pricey. The guys at the reception weren't nice. They were really snob and not so willing to help. The breakfast was horrible for the price, really, really poor and the wifi just worked at the reception. There are many other places in Santiago both better and cheaper.

Andes Hostel is very well situated: in front of the subway, they are many restaurant around. We add a quite good breakfest included, and the room was very clean. Quality-price relation excellent, I recommand!

I stayed with my husband in the apartment and while everything seemed okay, I was very unhappy with the smell everywhere. Not sure what it was but pretty unpleasant. It was in the apartment bathroom, hostel kitchen and luggage storage space. Sort of moldy smell. Especially having spent 4 nights in the neighboring La Casona hostel, I cannot see a...

I spent there 1 night. Rooms are clean interior of the hostel is very nice. Stuff was very nice and helpful. Hostel is located near Plaza de Armes, close to Bella Artes Musem. Lots of pubs, restaurants and bars nearby. Great location for those who want to taste nightlife in Santiago.

After reading such positive reviews, I booked an apartment for 3 nights and I'm extremely glad I did. I picked up the keys from the hostel and headed around the corner to the large complex of 4 big apartment buildings on Merced. They are right next door to a supermarket which is very handy. My apartment was on the 22nd...

Santiago was the first stop on our South American trip, and the Andes Hostel was a nice place to start. The room was comfortable and the food was decent. It's well located and within walking distance from a lot of cool places. The social atmosphere wasn't fantastic, but that was probably a result of the people staying there at the...

I didn't enjoy my time here. I booked a double but was in a twin room (with private bathroom) the sheets on one bed were really dirty so I used the other bed, but the sheets on that bed had yellow marks. Bathroom was clean though. No wifi in room but that was not unexpected. The room was noisy because...
