We staied there with my boyfriend for few nights and had the best time. Hostel is owend by chilean family with three little boys witch makes really fun atmosphere there. Nice common area and patio to chill and make friends with other travellers, big kitchen and the best breakfast I've seen in the hostels so far.

A really nice hostel run by a kind, friendly family. I stayed for much longer than I originally planned because I had such a nice time at PataPata. The staff are very friendly and willing to help, and the facilities are good as well. Overall, the atmosphere is lively, without being over the top. This made for a really enjoyable...

Stayed here for a couple of nights and the hospitality was great. We were served breakfast and made amazing banana milkshakes. Great pit stop while exploring the beautiful city. You can manage to walk to the beach and some nice views throughout the city.

Very nice old style two story house hostel in the center of one of the most visited hills of valparaiso, close to restaurants, bars, lifts, good vibes and nice people, the hostel is quite clean, very close to the infamous we're happies not hippies.

First time in Valparaiso and the Patapata treated me right! I stayed 4 days at the beginning of December and had a great time. The staff was friendly and very helpful getting me acquainted to the town. Isaac gave me the best advice, just leave the map and lose yourself in the town, he was so right! At every corner...

Last month I went with a friend to Valparaiso to enjoy for a couple of days. I booked online and paid the total. When we made the check out, received a bad surprise. The manager of the hostel wanted to add an extra night, because found suspicious that we paid all the nights in one time. We explain it in...

Staff are rude and would not take responsibility for anything. I.e. lack of water and bed bugs. They took 3000 pesos for family dinner and provided the smallest food portion possible. Spent less than the budget and ate for free at the expense of the traveller. Unacceptable. Find another place.

This is a lovely, lovely hostel - on the beautiful Templeman, with big rooms, comfortable beds, the best wifi we encountered in Chile or Argentina, with a great range of guests, and a homely atmosphere. Whether sitting outside with a beer, having a great breakfast prepared by staff in a kitchen you can use yourself, or just relaxing on the...

Only stayed for one day but the staff were really nice, letting me check in and get into bed at 6am after getting off a rather uncomfortable night bus, as long as I was quiet and didn't wake anyone else. Rooms and bathrooms were clean, with each bed having it's own power outlet. Common areas were bright and comfortable and...

You won't get a silent minute at this hostel. The reception always play loud crappy music and refuse to lower the volume. It's kids running around and you hear every step outside the door. It's a dirty hostel, they never seem to clean the rooms. The people that work here are very unfriendly and can't solve problems. They failed up...
