The staff here are lovely and friendly and the location is good, just a short walk from the nicer parts of town. The breakfast is great but our room was on the first floor right next to very small communal area (this was just a table really) and window overlooking a main road so quite noisy. There is no balcony... More

Dear Amy, Great review, all the details they are in our hands are well resolved (staff, breakfast, activities, location), we appreciate your critical comments, but its not in our hands to provide a balcony, nor it there is more ore less traffic outside on the road. But we allways love to hear about our guestexperiences, which helps us improve our... More

I stayed at Casa Aventura for a couple of days with a friend of mine and we both enjoyed our stay. The hostel is located in a very colourful neighborhood and is very close to Plaza Sotomayor and Valparaisos port. The rooms are nice and clean, the beds are incredibly comfortable and the restrooms and the showers are in very... More

Hello Amy, Thanks for your feedback. Anyway we get rooms to the alleyside, where its sometimes quieter than to the frontside, where is the mainroad. For shure, we dont have a roof-terrace or balcony at our hostel, but we are located between the to public lookout points Paseo Gervasoni and Paseo Yugoeslavo, who are great balconies to the ocean where... We moed here from another hostel and glad we did! Really nice and helpfull staff/owners. Our 3-year-old was free of charge, but he still could use a bed. Breakfast is nice and social, which we like. Kitchen has everything you need, but only one stove so when fully booked you might have to wait your turn (we didn't have to... More

Owners were awesome. The morning breakfast had incredible kiwi jam that was out of this world. The WIFI worked really well throughout the hostel. Also they have a Chilean cooking class on the second floor which we did that was super fun and we were able to go straight to bed immediately afterward. They had many bathrooms so there was... More

We checked in early in the morning and were immediately invited to sit down by the owner for a lovely breakfast of scrambeld eggs and fresh fruit which was great after 12 hours on a bus. After some easy conversation making us feel at home we were shown to our spacious double room which was clean, comfortable and cosy. We... More

Hello T & A, thank you for your comment and constructive criticism. I am glad that the stay in Valparaiso liked it. On the second floor we put more chairs so that people can meet and talk. However after breakfast the dining table is used as a meeting point for guests. I hope the information about the North Chile has... More

Stayed here pretty last minute and it was amazing. So welcoming abs homely. Great set up, comfy as beds and super breakfast in the morning with the table all set and eggs, fruit and bread. Just like being with a family. In a great area as well. Would recommend and defiantly go back again!

Casa Aventura is about as good as it gets. The rooms are generous, with comfortable beds and plenty of storage. The building is a multi-storied former house, and as such it feels far warmer and more comfortable than the more sterile hostels I've experienced elsewhere. It's located very close to all the things you'd want to see and do in... More

This hostel is in a great location, on a hill with lovely street art and restaurants, it's close to the sea as well as all the hills with amazing views. A taxi from the bus station costs 5000 pesos, but you could take a bus but going up the hill with bags would be a pain. To find the hostel... More

I found this hostal a bit above average. The beds were warm and the breakfasts tasty although it felt like it could do with a clean and a few times I smelt cigarettes inside. It's fine for a few days although I feel there is better value for money elsewhere. It is central to everything you would want to see... More

Casa Aventura has large, beautiful rooms and is in a great location in Valparaiso. In an historical house our guests find accommodation in spacious double and three-bed rooms with shared bathrooms. A good fully equipped kitchen offers the possibility of self-catering. Over a hearty breakfast you can get in contact with other travelers or pick up more concrete information about the city and the surrounding area. We - Alda and Christian- as geographers, like to chat about the diversity of nature in this country, and as a bi-national family, about social and cultural themes of life in Chile. ... more   less
