The staff were all wonderfully friendly and helpful at this hotel but the line between faced antiquity and grubby was somewhat indistinct. Organisation at breakfast was rather poor with little action to replenish missing items. The rooms were clean and well appointed.

This a review of the hotel only, not the restaurant. Like everything in Valparaiso the style of the Gran Hotel Gervasoni is dictated by the topography and the age of the town. You can’t scratch yourself without having to climb a staircase, and because everything...More

We got a room meant for 1 person though we were two. Imagine the size of the bed ! Just one bedside table and one lamp. The room was filthy ( dirty socks !!! stained bedcover, dirty walls, missing lightbulb....) If you look at the...More

Absolute no Grand or Boutique Hotel: high Potential but the whole (beautiful) house is in a very bad condition - from the outer facade, Dirty Floors to the broken toilet-seat. Staff completely distressed and not trained for Hotel Service - Vintage at it‘s worst !

We just returned from a trip to Chile and stayed two nights at the Grand Hotel Gervasoni. It's a really beautiful old building in a quaint, artistic, cobblestone part of town above the bustle of Valparaiso. Our room (#4 if I'm remembering correctly) was large...More

I'll bet the hotel will help with that. They arranged a driver for us when we left Valparaiso for the Santiago Airport. I would send an e-mail to them and ask them to arrange it. Good luck, I hope you enjoy your trip.
