Hostal Casapaxi is excellent and warm hostel with heartful and kind owner, feel like warm home. I stayed for three days in a single room. The room was clean, nice woody feature and quiet. Bathroom was shared, but was just among a few travelers. There are very comfortable common dinning room, living room, terrace and great kitchen. The whole hostel...

We definitely agree with all the other ratings that this hostel is an excellent value for the money, but this hostel offered much more than excellent value, clean guestrooms, and hot showers. I'm speaking of the owner, Luigina. She is one of the nicest people one could ever meet. She went out of her way to help us with veterinary...

We stayed an extra 3 days at casapaxi because it was so comfortable and clean. It is in a quiet neighborhood with bus line just a block away and the Metro within a mile. We were able to take buses and metro everywhere. Felt very safe while there. it is a private home with only 4rooms and a small apartment...

My husband and I stayed here last month and absolutely loved this place. We had the private guesthouse and garden area all to ourselves, even with a kitchen. The best part of our stay was the owner, Luigina, who was so kind and helpful during our stay. We loved talking with Luigina and hearing her amazing world travel stories. A...

I have been meaning to write a positive review of this place for a while and I apologise for the delay. This place was lovely! It depends what you are looking for but with wooden floors, quiet respectful inhabitants and the wonderful authentic African art of the owner I really loved this place. What made it truly great, however, was...

This is not the place for late night partiers wanting a spot for bar hopping. It's located in a residential neighborhood, but only a block away from bus access. It's very quiet, very clean and very comfortable. There are only a few rooms, so there isn't a lot of traffic coming and going. Some rooms have shared baths, others private. All...

Pros: Lovely owner, quiet location, decent wifi, hot showers, clean and spacious room, kitchen and washing machine available for use. Cons: A bit far from everything, noise carries between rooms, taxi had trouble finding it. $2 cab ride to get to Mariscal, a bit far from historical centre. The owner is very helpful and funny and can arrange a taxi...

We arrived from an overnight bus, at around 8am, well before the check in time of 2pm. We wanted to just put our bags down and relax and were not at all expecting to be able enter the actual room. But the owner and the maid would not entertain the idea at all. Every other place I have stayed at...

Much more of a homestay-style place than a hostel but actually worked quite well for us - we were 4 and it wasn't busy so we sort of had the place to ourselves. It has lovely hot showers and good wifi. A very attentive Italian lady runs the place and she was very careful about looking after us for which...

Our room was double booked by hostelbookers, and Luigina emailed us quickly to explain what had happened. She put us up in a lovely hotel of our choosing, for our duration in Quito and even paid for it!! Everything was done quickly and efficiently so we never felt stressed. We did go inside the accommodation and it looked spacious and...
