Do not stay here. Under any circumstances. We booked a night here on our last night in Quito because it was near to the airport and got great reviews on TripAdvisor. When we arrived, we actually thought we had the wrong place; but no such luck. First, it's in a completely random, residential section of Quito, not near anything. The...

We are extremely sorry for your bad experience and deeply apologize for it. Unlike many of our guest’s opinions, we think that our little hostel is far from being ideal, but we try hard to keep it clean and comfortable for our guests. We are paying close attention to your claims in order to fix any fault on our side....

Our by the hostal confirmed E-Mail reservation didn't run, so that they changed us at 1 a.m. in another terrible place just around the corner. The room in Isla Isabela was, compared with other hotels in Ecuador, lousy and and in fact much to expensiv for what you get. Forthermore it's a very loud place in the house itself and...

We are so very sorry for your discomfort. This is what in aviation is called "human error" and it is all MY fault. I must say in my defense that the cancellation of your flight didn´t help either. We will make sure this does not happen again.

Despite several emails to and from Monica confirming our stay (including one sent the day we flew out) we were told that a guest was ill and needed our room. monica had booked us into a hotel close by which was terrible - dirty, no hot water and very noisey. The following morning we went to Hostal isla Isabela for...

We regret deeply your poor opinion about our little place, but that is the high price to pay when we try hard to accommodate someone who needs help. There was no way that we could have put a senior person who had a serious health inconvenience in the street being sick as he was. We hope to have the opportunity...

I stayed at Isla Isabella in February 2010 and i have never had such wonderful service. Monica, her husband and mother will do absolutely anything to make sure you have a wonderful stay in Quito. They provide a free airport pick up service which is a god-send. The hotel is right near the airport, so there is some noise, but...

My girlfriend and I traveled to Quito during December 2009. It was the first time we travelled overseas together and the first time we'd ever been to South America! Staying at the Hostal Isla Isabela was one of the best choices we made on our holiday. The place isn't a flashy hotel or anything like that, but it was exactly...

The most helpful people you could ever meet. Charlie and Monica sorted out all our problems when we arrived. We arrived with no money because our wallet had been stolen. You are welcomed into the family when you arrive and the caring doesn't stop! We stayed in a very pleasant room and the water in the shower was hot! Lovely...

We are lucky to receive guests like you. If I could grade the quality of our customers, I think all of them would get a five star! Thank you for trusting us! We hope to see you around again Monica

The personal care of the owners and family atmosphere are the best things about this hostal. Rooms are good, breakfast very tasty. Only downside is that it's very close to the airport. If you're a light sleeper the airplane noise might bother you, although I don't think there are any flights betwee midnight and 6. I would definitely stay here...

They bend over backwards here for you. I have to admit, the planes flying over at 7 o'clock did scare me awake, but really that didn't take much away from the place. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and it is pretty quiet there. This is definitely where I will be staying if I ever need to stay at a Hotel...

My wife and I stayed here for a short night's stay before heading off to the Galapagos. The rooms were basic but clean. What really made the place stand out was Monica and her willingness to do anything for her guests. We needed to go to the airport early Christmas Day when taxis are hard to find. She woke up...
