The Hotel is clean, beds very comfortable, breakfast was terrific and felt like I was at home. Thank You Luis! Would definately return to Jumbo...

The hotel was in a perfect location for all kinds of activities, the bed and room were perfect, the cost was great and Luis was the most gracious host I've ever met. Every night ended with him and his family asking what time we'd like breakfast, and every day began with an amazing breakfast at our specified time. Fresh fruit,...

My husband and I have just spent three nights at Jumbo Lodging and loved it. Luis and his family make this place special. We were made to feel at home and nothing was too difficult for them. Although Luis speaks perfect English, he was incredibly patient with our poor Spanish. The house is lovely and the rooms huge and spotless....

I was in Quito in April of 2011, when I finally got a TripAdvisor account the first thing I thought of was leaving this review. From the time Luis picked us at the airport to the time he dropped us off, we saw nothing by the the kindest treatment. Luis and his family really made the trip for us! He...

The 150+ year old building that houses Jumbo Lodging and Luis's family, is a short distance from the old section of Quito, churches galore and the basilica. There are restaurants within walking distance in the old area and on the hill above Jumbo. We also walked to La Mariscal from there. Luis picked us up from the airport at a...

The rooms at Jumbo Lodging are beautiful, with the most comfortable bed we had while in Ecuador. But it was Luis, the host, who was over the top helpful to us who made our stay so great, thank you so much Luis! This location is only a few minutes walk from the historic center of Quito. We highly recommend staying...

The Jumbo Lodging was our first hostal after arriving in Ecuador. Luis, our very friendly host, picked us up at the airport and gave us a very good introduction to the country. From our really beautiful room we got a very good sight on the historic part of the town. The (really huge) bed was one of the most comfortable...

Stayed here for 4 nights at the beginning of our two week trip to Quito/Galapagos. We arranged for Luis the innkeeper to pick us up at the airport because we arrived after midnight and were concerned with safety - he was more than gracious and greeted us with warm friendly smiles ($40 for airport pickup). The rooms were clean and...
