When you arrive at this out of the way hostel you are welcomed by the head staff member saying "Welcome to paradise" and it soon becomes clear that this is indeed where you have arrived. I did the inclusive package sold by the Quito Secret Garden which was great value to start with. Add to to this the great food,... More

I stayed in many hostels while travelling Ecuador but this is the one that I think was my favourite. A quaint little cottage in the middle of nowhere, it has wonderful views of the mountains and the rooms are extremely comfy, even when there were 8+ in the same room. (It also provided my first hot shower in about three... More

Me and my friend stayed at Secret Garden Cotopaxi three nights. We bought a package including a walk to a waterfall on the day of arrival, a hike to a 4200 m peak and a biking tour inclusive fishing at a trout farm with guarantee getting a fish - and then eat it:) We had beds in a dorm plus... The staff was perfect. The views were phenomenal. The food was delicious and vegetarian/ vegan friendly. Jacuzzi overlooking Cotopaxi. The daily activities are breathtaking. No wifi, but it really fits the atmosphere. It's nice to getaway. Beautiful Milky Way views at night.

The Secret Garden Cotopaxi was one of the most beautiful hostels I've been to. The people working there are great, I loved the food that was made with lots of love, too. We hung out, sitting at a fire and playing the guitar. The nature around is stunning. I went on some activities including the waterfall hike, a long hike... More

This was one of the best places we stayed in our three month tour of South America. Loved the cute colourful decor, family style approach to food and activities, lovely pet dogs and view of Cotopaxi. Highly recommend. Take some cards and warm clothes!

We are both in our 50's but this was a great place to stay for a friendly atmosphere, great views, tasty and plentiful food and super cosy accommodation. We stayed in the private rooms which are just great..our own little fire to warm it up and fantastic views across the fields to Cotopaxi. Enthusiastic volunteers made every effort to look... More

We were definitely on the older side of the clientele there (60+), but it is a gorgeous setting and very relaxing. Great destination for backpackers and anyone who wants to experience beautiful volcalnos.

Just a wonderful place: the views are spectacular, the food is delicious, the activities are exciting, the staff is extremely helpful and the relaxation is of the highest level. Don't miss this place if you are in Ecuador, or interested in amazing vulcanic surroundings.
