We arrived here straight off the flight from England, tired and wanting somewhere comfortable to relax. This hotel, which is a sympathetic conversion of a much older town house, exactly fitted the bill. It is quiet, welcoming and has a sort of gentle dignified air about it that invites you to feel at home. Our double bed was wide enough... More

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 7 August 2016

We spent 5 nights in this lovely hotel in Old Town, Quito. The historic building is delightfully appointed, with a large indoor patio that the rooms wrap around. The staff was always extremely welcoming and helpful, the rooms were large and comfortable, and the adjacent restaurant served a wonderful breakfast. Off of teh patio was a very nice seating area... We stayed at this hotel in Quito before heading to Galapagos. The rooms were very nice and clean. The staff was very attentive and breakfast was delicious. The location was walking distance to old town and shops. Highly recommend this hotel.

We've spent 4 nights at this excellent hotel and have been impressed with every aspect. Having arranged an airport transfer ($44), the chaos at Bogota airport led to us arriving in Quito at 02:15, 11hrs late after a journey of 18hrs from Cartagena but our driver was still there waiting! This set the tone for everything connected with the hotel.... More

Friendly reception; great room with massive bed!; nice breakfast with a short menu of buffet service; great afternoon coffee and biscuits (complimentary); handy breakfast bag to go, for an early flight. This is a busy area at night, but our triple glazing sent us to sleep fast. The restaurant is handy for an evening meal, but again the menu is... More

This is a small hotel boutique hotel in the colonial quarters of Quito. To put is simply, we loved it. Location was excellent, safe walking distance to everywhere. Restaurants nearby, music, arts, shopping (if that's what takes your fancy) and heritage attractions. The hotel itself was great. The rooms were large, double glazed windows (which were necessary due to the... More

I couldn't recommend this hotel highly enough. Beautiful hotel, extremely lovely staff and warm atmosphere. If you want a brief respite from the outside world before you explore amazing Ecuador, then this is the place to be. Thank you to all the staff for a thoroughly enjoyable stay, wish it was longer.

La Casona offers a beautiful setting close to Placa de Armas in Quito old town. I got into my room and caught myself thinking I wanted to spend more time in the hotel than I thought I would be able to. A great boutique hotel in the (very) lively heart of old town Quito. Be prepared for noise late into the early hours at the weekend, however the extremely comfortable bed and tiredness from your exploring will soon set you off to sleep!
