Safe, clean hostel in a really convenient location. In the heart of La Mariscal, but relatively quiet and peaceful. Short walk to ecovia or trolley and tons of bars and restaurants. I was in a dorm room with just four beds. Breakfast is decent and the wifi signal is really strong.

Booked and paid deposit for a single room with bathroom, when I got there I was put in with two friends in their room and they still demanded further payment even though the deposits paid by all of us amounted to the full cost. Breakfast was only scrambled eggs, not as described. Very basic.

La Posada del Maple is a very cute and quaint hostel in an amazing location. It is only a couple blocks from the main center where all of the restaurants and bars are located (in La Mariscal)! We heard reviews that La Mariscal is dangerous so it is important to find a great and safe hostel, which la posada del...

The Hostal I am told is the very first Hostal in Quito. It is located on Juan Rodriguez Calle, which is the most beautiful street in all of La Mariscal. It is very well lite and since it is a very touristy street, the police pass up and down the street frequently. Also Taxis are very easily accessible at all...

I've stayed here several times during my time in Ecuador. Can't comment on the private rooms but the value for money on dorm rooms is excellent: $7-8/night including an above average breakfast! Guest kitchen and free wifi throughout. Friendly vibe and good for meeting other travelers if you're traveling on your own. Great location in the Mariscal on Calle Rodriguez,...

I recently spent 4 days/3 nights here in October with a group of 8 Birders. We used it as a way to acclimate to the elevation before we moved into the interior for a longer trip. It is centrally located to go birding in the excellent Botanical Gardens. It is also close to restaurants and a small but nice crafts...
