This is a very well-located hostel with reasonable prices and friendly staff. One of their staff was very kind and let me keep my bag there free of charge while I checked out Quito and helped me arrange a taxi for an overnight bus to the Oriente. Had a really hard time getting hot water in the showers, but otherwise...

The location of this Hostel is great. Major transit lines are close by. The staff all speak very good english. The room I had was small but it was perfect for a budget traveller who wants a clean, safe inexpensive room in central Quito.

We stayed here for 5 nights and found the hostal to be very good. It's in a quieter part of town a 15 minute walk to the main square with several restaurants in a street a block and a half away. The room was clean with hot water shower. The owners of the family run hostal speak good English. They...

Great hostel near the historical center of quito. A little bit outside the partyland. Our room was big, clean and we had hot shower all the time. A little bit noisy because of the street but that's something you have to deal with in quito. There is a rooftop terrace with a great view. Stuff is really friendly & helpful. Doors are...

Located in San Blas this hostel has large, ensuite rooms for a reasonable price. Clean and comfortable with a nice hot shower. There was no fan or A/C in our room but we didn't require either during our stay. Our room was at the front of the hostel in the second building and with only single glazed windows it can...

This hostel is excellent in many ways, the rooms and bathrooms are very nice, the location is perfect, the staff are very polite, the rooftop terrace is lovely. However there is one thing that absolutely needs to change; the fact they lock the front doors so you cannot either enter or even EXIT the building without a member of staff...

Very good location, in the center. There are many shops, bus stops around hostel. The dorms are not very spacious, but clean and with very warm blankets. And it is a liitle bit noisy from outside. The room, bathroom, other public areas were very clean. There is a rooftop terrace with nice views to the city. They accept credit cards....

Good value for old town Quito. Simple hostel, clean, economical. Great WiFi (I work while traveling). The downstairs community room is okay, but the rooftop terrace and kitchen is great. Bathroom and shower is clean and hot water. For a good budget spot near the historic center of Quito this is good.

The facilities are clean and the staff is very friendly. It's central. The only thing I absolutely did not like is that the reception isn't open 24 hours. I felt locked up as if I was in a prison. Because they close everything up. You have to tell them in advance if you want to get out after 22.00

Dear, Thank you so much for your time. I am sorry about the hours of our reception but this information is clearly specified in our official website and others websites we work with. Our lobby-bar which includes our reception is open from 8:30 am until 10 pm. We have 24/7 staff who are ready to help you. And even if...

This is without a doubt the cleanest and tidiest hostel I have ever stayed in. The lounge, bedrooms and bathrooms were immaculate and even had toilet paper and soap. It is staffed by very lovely and helpful people who speak excellent English and who were very knowledgable about the city and travel requirements. The hostel is well situated near the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Chicago Hostel was founded in 2003 in a modern building with modern structures and strong bases. These facilities were created to be a hosting business from the beginning. The rooms and bathrooms were not improvised so that they have adequate ventilation, adequate natural light and the system pressure and water temperature was set to supply a large number of people. Chicago Hostel is a family business with friendly and helpful staff, we are located in the heart of the city, inside a traditional neighborhood Quiteño considered part of the Old Town. It also has a good level of security and there is a police station two blocks away from our hostel. Privileged location, very close to the beating heart of Quito within walking distance to the main tourist attractions. We are located one block away from a main avenue where there is a lot of public transportation which could drive you to the rest of the city as La Mitad del Mundo, Teleférico, Airport, Interprovinciales bus stations, local bus stations, etc. We work hard to provide you a spectacular stay, help you with directions, information about transportation, safety tips and several recommendations that travelers need to have a nice and quiet visit to our city. We offer a place where you can rest and recharge your energy for a new day. We offer you a lot of tourist information, besides we can help you with tours inside and outside the city, we offer you a top terrace which has a wonderful view of the city, its surroundings and the idyllic Pichincha mountain. Hostal Chicago is home for tourists from around the world. Enjoy a friendly, fun and intimate atmosphere.
