We have stayed at the Hotel Crespo many times over the years and it has always been a relaxed and enjoyable experience. Decent prices for comfortable rooms furnished with style. It is close to all the Downtown amenities and by the river. Go for an early morning walk along the river; it will help de-wrinkle and un-stress.

Though well located, this hotel is not only old (and kitsch!) but really outdated. The wooded rooms are clean and oldfashioned. This is Agoust and we face a painstaking dilema: sleeping in a freezing room or turn on the heating and no sleeping at all, as the heating system makes an horrible noise! The breakfast is rather bad, the service... More

As with many hotels in the historic district, this hotel is old and has a certain charm to it that is different from any other hotel. This is the charm of Cuenca in general. Crespo did seem a bit disjointed though in the layout and the feel of the rooms. Our room looked at an interior square that was very... More

We had a fabulous room at this hotel. It is located in the old town overlooking the river. Our room had a huge balcony that overlooked the river and we had a sitting room as well as a bedroom and very nice bathroom. Lots of wood panelling throughout. Each floor has a different décor and art work in the common... More

This very strange wooden ski lodge looks like it was build by Russians in the cold war. The rooms are old school and the public areas are a bit strange. 10 minute walk to the main square. Surrounded by numerous restaurants and with a nice view over the river. Moderate speed wifi. I honestly woke up and had no idea... More

Charming hotel situated in a classic old mansion. Excellent service & location. The restaurant & our rooms over looked the river. A barking dog was unhappy one of the nights. Not sure of the prices since it was part of a package tour.

This hotel was conveniently located, but it was really old. You can hear everything going on outside the hotel and outside your room. The breakfast was good, but the service needs an upgrade. The lady that served us was in a bad mood. I don't think she liked to serve our kids.

Good location: several restaurants, ATM, pharmacy, hospital, Subway, and others nearby. Old hotel but well mantained. Hotel is next to Tomebamba river so make sure you get a nice river view (room 407 has a river view). Breakfast was also good. Variety of breads, coffee, juice and eggs. Parking was half a block away. This was not convenient for me... More

The main answer at this hotel is "No". I know several of the hotels in Cuenca. Despite its price range , there is something in common: the friendly service. It is not the case with this hotel. Any basic request , the answer is "not the hotel policy " . So , you have to pay extra for breakfast advertised... More
