Just a 5 minutes walk away from the central bus station 'Casa de las Rosas' is a peacful haven after sightseeing and shopping in Cuenca. Lucia the owner comes originally from Italy and you can see that in every little beautiful detail of the hotel. Everything fits perfectly together and charms you as soon as you enter the hotel. We spent three nights at the hotel. We got the room Esmeralda which is perfect for a couple. Lucia and her team were from the beginning very friendly, helpful and always intended to make the stay comfortable and nice. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom -also very clean - was even big enough for two people to...

As one of two couples traveling together, we stayed in the Tejado (roof top) suite and the Amarillo (yellow) room. From our early arrival onward, Luciana and her staff warmly welcomed us and treated us as family. They provided bountiful breakfasts, quick and inexpensive laundry service, hot water bottles in the evening, honest and helpful restaurant suggestions, and even made...

We loved our stay in la Casa de las Rosas, the owner Lucia (Italian), is a very warm hostess. The house has been nicely adapted and decorated, she has an excellent taste. It has several resting/reading areas, very comfortable and bright. Is a place that can make you feel like home. The buffet breakfast in the morning was nicely presented,...

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. It is a small boutique hotel with a B+B atmosphere. I believe there are only 12 rooms. It has a small sitting room that serves as a lobby where tea and fruit are available all day. The room we stayed in was of comfortable size, clean with a comfortable bed. it...

We arrived here in the late evening and immediately felt very welcome (you have to ring a doorbell for entry). The service continued to be excellent throughout our stay. The room we had was a fair size and felt very clean. The bathroom was also quite large and came with lovely shampoo and soaps. The staff delivered hot water heaters...

From the hotel we walked to the Fruit Market, the bank, the square & downtown. At night to go eat we took a taxi & it was $4 for the 4 of us, anywhere in the city. Elizabeth spoke English & was so helpful. She gave us a list of restaurants & they were all good. She also arranged a...

Casa de las Rosas is a cross between a small boutique hotel and B&B. It is located in the NE part of the old town about six blocks diagonally from the main square of Cuenca. It is tastefully furnished and decorated. The staff treats the guests well and are helpful. One stand out of our visit is the daily hot...

Our stay here was just about perfect. The room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable. Plenty of hot water to take a nice, long shower after a day of wandering around to see the sights. The staff were extremely attentive and helpful whenever we needed or asked for anything. They even put a hot water bottle under your blanket down...

Rarely do you get service and quality at any price like you find at Casa De Las Rosas in Cuenca. The eight room hotel in a restored Colonial Home in a location within 5-10 minutes of anywhere in the centro historico (old Cuenca) is top notch. Every room has a private bathroom with updated fixtures (the two rooms we occupied...
