The hotel is decorated in a very nice way, very homely and the staff are super friendly. I have stayed here several times with groups of travellers as a guide. Make sure to eat at the Italian restaurant located next door, also run by the same owners. Delicious home made pastas and sauces! Very good location in the city too...

A nice hotel with character in the heart of Cuenca. Friendly and helpful staff, with a nice breakfast too. Main area of improvement would be to make the wifi more reliable and renovate the rooms. The noise from the street in our room was very loud

My son, his wife and I stayed here and found it to be a very comfortable and friendly hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly and it was lovely to have a chat with them. They allowed us to stay late using our rooms which was wonderful when we had a late bus to catch. There are fresh flowers...

We stayed 2 nights here while on our Happy Gringo tour. This hotel was one of our favorite stays in our 9 day your. The location is fantastic. Just make a right from the front entrance and your just about a 5 minute walk to Central Park and the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception. There's so much historical charm in this...

Very cute and different style hotel located in the beautiful city of Cuenca. The decor is very colourful and gives a homely feel to your stay. The ground floor is a restaurant which serves some lovely Italian food but the noise of this can affect sleep quality as rooms are just upstairs. There is a cute little bakery on the...

OK...the positive is of course the location. I liked the decor as something more of a novelty and not what I'm used to. The staff is nice and in general try to be helpful. I guess my "complaint" about the staff would be that no one knows what the other one is saying. When we checked in we were told...

The room was nice but you can hear every single thing happening in the building. They do laundry here as well; I was with a group of people and they mixed up everyone's laundry. The wifi also only works for very short periods of time and is usually nonexistent, so if you were planning on using it to message back...

Cuenca is a great town. It's small and very walkable. We stayed in Hostal Posada del Angel for Christmas. It is a converted house that's been refurbished. The rooms were a good size (queen or full and twin bed) for about $50 a night. You get breakfast every morning which is the highlight. The brother and sister that own the...

We loved this hotel with its colonial style and friendly and helpful staff. We had lunch included in our price but thanks to the cancellation of our early flight did not make it. No problem they transferred our allowance onto our evening meal. The food was so good that we ate here both nights, everything is freshly cooked in the...

Hotel belongs to a nice adult family who now how to treat their guests. Decor is fantastic. Rooms are spacious. Atmosphere is quaint and tasteful. I would recommend this hotel to everyone that is travelling without children. Luckily there were none when we were there. Breakfast is good. The usual fare is fruit, juice, coffee and or tea. “All rooms are good.”
  • This is the patio breakfast area. Not the restaurant.

“The rooms have their unique attributes. Ours had a little balcony overlooking the street and it was very nice and not loud. Though, our loft was over the neighbor's bathroom, and our bathroom was under the neighbor's loft, so with plywood as the only barrier it could depend a lot on who's in the next room.”
  • The loft in our room was great for our daughter

“Light sleepers will need to pick a room carefully. Our room was on the first floor, next to the breakfast area's covered courtyard. It was pretty, with natural light coming through the translucent, atrium type roof. But breakfast set up starts around 7am and will wake a light sleeper up who is trying to sleep in. Also, the second story floors are wooden and quite noisy as people walk to and from their rooms, so that can sometimes be a problem. The bathroom had no auditory privacy from the breakfast area. No problem, a couple of mornings I preferred to use the public bathroom in the hall. Flexibility makes for a happy traveler, no? I enjoyed our room. But MIGHT pick a different one next time.”

“Depends whether you are early risers or not, or if you sleep through everything. My grandson slept till 9-9:30, I amalways up at 7:30 so we were fine. You can always ask for an off street room.”
