The most beautiful Hotel, I have ever spended a couple of days. In the Center of the historical Part of Cuenca we found an oasis of Peace, harmony an elegagance. I joyned nearly one week in the garden-room, which I can recommend without limits. The Location is absolutly perfect to discover the amazing historical center. Dinner an breakfast is simply...

I recently stayed at Mansion Alcazar in Cuenca for business. I had a great experience and I definitely think it's the best hotel in Cuenca. The building is an impressive colonial house but with all the amenities and service of a 5 star hotel. Rooms are compact but extremely comfortable. Service is impeccable. It has a very Old World feel...

To start, this place doesn't have a gym or pool!! Just a small dirty jacuzzi for every guest to share!!! Extremely overpriced for what it offers. They considered themselves as an upscale hotel, they are very far from it!!! Their computer desk, barely fits your laptop on it!!! No power outlet available by the computer desk!!! They are in the...

I recently put together a surprise party for my husband. I would highly recommend Mansion Alcazar for a special event. Sondra worked with me on the room, food, wine, birthday cake and was there the day of the party, a Sunday! It was such a special night where guests enjoyed themselves and my husband had a memorable birthday. The restaurant...

The Mansion Alcazar is "the" hotel in Cuenca. As one would expect, this is a beautiful property with all the elements for a great stay - beautiful common areas, comfortable rooms, peaceful gardens, excellent food, and a well-trained staff. This is the best property in Cuenca.

My husband and I spent 2 nights at this hotel and found it to be our favorite hotel in Ecuador and easily in our top 10 list of favorite hotels we've stayed at. Upon check-in, the staff were friendly, prompt and courteous and spoke excellent English. The decor had a romantic Old World European feel, tastefully designed and seemed to...

Mansion Alcazar is a gorgeous property, with the main (front) building being a lovingly renovated 19th century mansion and additional rooms in a courtyard building beyond -- everything decorated in period. The breakfast room and restaurant (ask for a table in the glassed in conservatory in the courtyard) is wonderful. All of the amenities right in the center of the...

We had a fabulous 2 night stay at this hotel, which is centrally located. Our stay included breakfast and it was outstanding. Our room was private (upstairs) and faced the gardens. The bed was extremely comfortable and it was a very quiet room. There was a pianist in the lobby who was excellent. Our last night, we had dinner at...
