Really friendly and helpful staff which were willing to help. Lovely having breakfast on the terrace each morning with pool table and ping pong. However the there nights we stayed we were woken at about 7am every morning by the in house family children outside our door. Our room also had no window and the shower curtain wouldn't keep the... Everything facility wise is amazing and the free breakfast is delicious. Laid back environment, although a bit pricey for a private room for two. My favorite part of this hostel was the staff. Not only were they friendly, but very helpful as well. A few weeks back the sole of my hiking boot was destroyed and despite the many shoe... More

This is so much more than an ordinary hostel. The family who runs it were amazing to us, taking so much care to ensure we had information and comfort. Spacious, cosy and very central. The breakfast was fabulous too! We even had space to do our morning yoga practice with a view of the volcano.

Sol de Oro turned out to be such a nice hostel in Arequipa. Very friendly and helpful staff. Free wifi and good priced laundry service. Great location close to historical centre. Not all people at the reception speak English very well, although they are very helpful and even called the owner Yuanita to be able to answer my questions.

Arriving to the hostel at 5am we weren't sure what to expect but after being greeted and checked into our double bedroom with private bathroom straightaway, we immediately felt comfortable. The hostel is always kept clean, the owners are always so lovely and helpful, and they have an amazing games room - table tennis, pool table, foosball table, out door... More
