We for several days and were pleasantly surprised with this hostel. The rooms are basic but nicely decorated. The staff is very friendly and makes an effort to go the extra mile when you need advice or help ! Our room didn't have hot/ warm water, but it wasn't so bad. We made meals in the communal kitchen on the...

We had a lovely room with private bathroom, simply but tastefully decorated, with towels and a hot shower. Cute outdoor sitting area and a great eating area upstairs with a kitchen. Was genuinely impressed with the breakfast provided (for SA standards) which included 2 crepes, an egg cooked to your liking, a fresh bread roll, tea and coffee plus milk...

Ok, so we really struggled to find a Hostel with a guest kitchen in Arequipa, and when we thought we had they were massively expensive.......but not here! $16(US) gets you a private double room, use of a roof top terrace kitchen & dining area, spacious courtyard.......and you can bring in alcohol! All good! The hostel is situated a few blocks...

This hostel is cozy. The rooftop terrace and usable kitchen is really nice. You will enjoy a nice view of the city. I wondered around Arequipa to see which hostels allowed you to use their kitchen, and to my surprise, their weren't many. So the fact that you can use the kitchen here is great. There seems to be a...

This is quite a cheap hostel that is very close to the centre of Arequipa. The staff are friendly and helped us book coaches to our next location and a day excursion to the Colca Canyon. Our room and bathroom was very clean except the hot water in the shower was a bit temperamental. If you want breakfast you have...

We had a pleasant stay at Home sweet home. The room and the bathrooms were clean. The staff was always here to answer our questions. The breakfast was really good (it's not all you can eat, but home made crepes!)

Stayed here for a few nights while doing the Colca Canyon trek. Staff were very helpful, although they didn't speak much english. As the Colca Canyon trek goes around picking people up at 3am, the staff were up at 3 to let me out the door and actually had to go to someone else's room to wake them up and...

I enjoyed my stay at home sweet home. The staff are friendly and is a decent breakfast included - pancakes, bread+jam and eggs. Its close to the centre and are lots of restaurants nearby or can use the kitchen in the hostel. Also has a tv area to chill out in. I also booked the three day colca canyon trek...

Pros: taxi pickup at bus station (but not for free), arranged Colca trek; breakfast Cons: quite noisy (especially on Friday evening); sometimes hard to communicate (in English) I recommend - good price/quality ratio...

We stayed here after we came back from the colca canyon tour. The room was nice, the hotel was quiet and the breakfast (bread, eggs and pancakes) was unexpected good with a great view if the mountain from the rooftop. Especially for the price. The shower was hot and not just warm like in other places every tone of the...
