This hostel has a great location in Arequipa; only a 10 minute walk away from the main plaza, with many cheap restaurants located even closer. The staff here were very friendly and helpful, always on hand to provide information about Arequipa and give directions. The rooms here were quite basic but clean, and the beds were really comfortable. There were also...

Staff is friendly, always helping with anything from calling a taxi to putting postcards on the letterbox when the post office isn't open. The hostel also arranges priceworthy treks to the Colca canyon. Breakfast is not included, but you get coffee, tea, bread, butter, jam and bananas for free between 7 and 10 am every day. Rooms are basic but...

Good hostel with a decent amount of people passing through. It isn't a party hostel but there are a good amount of communal areas to meet people. Breakfast is standard, OK coffee, bread and jam. Could be a touch more central. Would recommend but there is probably better hostels.

We arrived after an overnight bus from Puni and even though we checked in very early in the morning the staff were still v friendly and accommodating. Would have been great if they could've arranged a bus terminal pickup (every other hostel we stayed in in Peru did this). Overall, is exactly what you'd expect of a hostel - little...

The location is Okay. Nice for quiet nights as it isn't directly in the center of town but it's also very safe. There is an abundance of common areas to meet people and chill out. The outside space is nice on hott days. We arrived MUCH earlier than expected (4:30am) and thankfully the nice receptionist let us sleep in the...

It makes you feel like home. They clean the common areas many times a day so they are always clean. It has plenty of room for making friends and have a nice conversation. They care for the sleep quality by not allowing loud noises at night.

I stayed in Arequipay Backpackers for two nights after coming from Cusco to relax after the Salkantay Trek. Arequipay Backpackers was the perfect place. Lots of common areas both in and outside the hostel. Breakfast was basic with jam, butter, coffee, and fresh bread. Staff were very welcoming and can help you with either tours or self guided trips. They...

Very good hostel with helpful and friendly staff. Basic breakfast is included ( jam, butter, bread , tea and coffee), hot water, clean, close to downtown area ( 10 min walking). The accommodation fee is calculated based on time of arrival ( paid less when I had a late check-in). They can arrange various tours around the city & Colca...
