Just as lauded to the world by Lonely Planet, CSolar is excellent in all respects. Service exemplary, rooms clean, efficient and comfortable. We had a twin bed in the garden area. We sat in the shade resting from sightseeing and felt thoroughly at home. Trips arranged taxis called, advice given by friendly staff. Couldn't be much that this hotel could improve...

Hotel Casona Solar was such a great place to stay that we stayed twice during our month long visit to Peru. The exterior entry is nice, but once you open the door and enter the courtyard, you've taken a step back in time to the grandeur of the days when this hotel was a prominent private residence. The structure and...

Best place we stayed in Peru!! Great breakfast options that were all included! Very comfortable beds - especially needed after hiking inca trail and vinicunca mountain. Rooms opened to a beautiful, sunny courtyard with ample seating and heat lamps in the evening. Very pleasing staff. Can't say enough great things about staff member "Joshua". He was extremely helpful in booking...

Years past this place used to be a rich guy's hacienda. It has since been converted to a hotel. The rooms are fairly large, at least mine was; and do to the original floor plan of the place, most most of them are all slightly different. I had a room facing the main street. There were 2 front windows that...

best place near the center of Arequipa. The room are spacious and cute. The internal garden is fantastic where you can relax and drinking. The service is careful the the customer requests. Try it, you'll be satisfied!

This hotel is centrally located and very safe. Staff are helpful but have little English if you had a problem. There are two lovely courtyards with rooms adjoining them. We had a room in the entrance courtyard so people were passing by and you could be seen if the door/shutters were open. The room is impressive with a vaulted ceiling...

I am baffled at the positive reviews. For the price paid and compared to other hotels in Arequipa it's a complete rip off. The food was terrible and the room was beyond noisy. I could hear everything and was woken up at 6.30 because of the noise in he reflection area. I changed plans and wanted to check out early...

The courtyard is very charming and the service is good; they allowed us to check in already at 8 in the morning, since we arrived very early. However, it is rather expensive for what you get and we were disappointed with the room - especially since it's praised as one of the best value buys in Peru in lonely Planet...

This place feels like a sanctuary from the crowded busy streets. We enjoyed a room that has a loft bed above the bathroom, with large windows that opened onto the inner courtyard. There is a cafe table and chairs, a comfy recliner, and luxurious double bed with sparkling embroidered sheets and wonderful designer coverlet. Breakfast is served in a beautiful,...

The average day temperature is 25 degrees Celsius and rain is rare. After a long day exploring Arequipa and the surroundings you can enjoy the cool mountain evenings at our fireplace while having a snack and a drink. On just a 2 minutes walking distance you will find the ‘Plaza de Armas’ one of the most beautiful main squares of Peru.
