We stayed at this mediocre hostel for two nights for $35, as we booked this online. After a trip to Machu Picchu we came back and were shown a different room, and was told it was 60 soles. We agreed. The next day when we came to pay, the manager said it was $35 too. We insisted that we were...

We recently stayed here for 4 nights over New Years Eve. Let's face it this place is cheap, really cheap so set your expectations....you are not staying in a 4 star hotel. The rooms are nice, we stayed in a double room that had an ensuite bath. The room and bathroom were clean and cleaned daily (however they don't give...

This place is a short walk up a rustic, cobbled street from the main square, with various other points of interest and restaurants close by. The courtyard is quaint, and the wifi decent (didn't work in the room though). The room itself was nice, bed comfy, and en suite bathroom clean with warm water, although the door didn't shut properly...

Whilst this is not in the more expensive San Blas area popular with tourists, it is only a short walk to the Plaza Des Armas and a couple of other very nice plazas. The hostel is in a very nice old house and has quiet, spacious, comfortable common areas (Wifi only in these areas). I booked a single room with...

I stayed 4 nights in total and enjoyed the quiet. No bar, so no noise from that. Just a quiet place to stay with good breakfast. There's a fire in the TV room downstairs which we enjoyed on the evenings. Dorm beds were very comfortable and they have en suite bathrooms. My dorm even had a sofa and TV in...

My wife and I stopped at the hostel Mallqui in Cusco for 5 nights in late November-early December. In general we are pleased by the conditions of the accommodation and would consider staying in it another time. Our very negative comment is related to the charges of the hostel front desk for tours, and also taxi. The cost of a...

The place was really cozy, an old Peruvian house adapted as Hostel. The room I got wasn't really big for a double room (I got a double with private bathroom), we barely had space to walk. Also the bathroom was clean but small, and some of the towels had holes. On the other hand the Breakfast was great! it included...

Hostal is in walking distance from Plaza De Armas. The value is very good, around 30 US per night for a double with private bathroom, especially comparing to accommodation prices in Cusco. Breakfast is very basic, but this is all what you basically need. Rooms are good, but if you stay during the cold month I would recommend you to...

I found Hostal Mallque through the Hosteling International organization website. I like staying in hostels around the world because I like the lifestyle, use of a kitchen for some special diet requirements, and the casual friendly atmosphere to meet fellow travelers and compare notes with, and ability to lock my gear up when out and about. So I was a...

This hostal was very charming and true to the architecture of the area. Rooms are around a courtyard and the decor was cultural and well chosen. The place was clean, close to the Plaza and good value for money. I stayed a double room and it was comfortable, a good size, and not in a noisy area. This was back...
