Stayed at both the start and end of trip to Machu P. Clean, good food and 15 min walk to centre of town. Room had all the basics and staff friendly. Good selection of market stalls just across the road.

Our stay at Samay was very pleasant. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful. We were immediately greeted with some coca tea and we drank plenty of it! The room was nice enough and perfect for the simplistic travelers who are not looking for luxury or are high maintenance. My only complaint was that the bed was awfully hard! But...

A few blocks from the main square and the many churches of Cusco makes this hotel ideally located. The rooms are functional, bathroom is small a bit dark but clean, the mattress and pillows are uncomfortable but kept me warm for my two nights stay. The staff was very attentive and hospitable. Buffet breakfast starts at 5 am with variety...

If you're expecting to stay at motel 6 you'll be fine. It was part of tour package and we had to stay here for 3 nights. We asked tour company to change but they didn't. It's old and the room we stayed at first night had 2 cockroaches in the bathroom. We broke their wine cup that was on refrigerator...

From the moment we arrived at Hotel Samay we felt welcome and comfortable. Reception staff, cleaners, waitresses and room attendants provided us with greetings in contagious Spanish language, and smiles. My wife felt ill with the treacherous "mal de altura" (altitude sickness) and ended up in a clinic for a number of hours. Every time I came back to the...

We missed our flight and had to stay in Cusco one more night. Our airline recommended this hotel and called beforehand to set up a discounted price for our stay of one night. When we got there, the women at reception pretended they never got the phone call about the discounted rate (I heard the woman on the other line...

We ended up at this hotel because the one we had reserved (Casa de Don Ignacio) messed up our reservation and we were transferred to Samay Hotel as a last minute plan. The staff was nice. The mattress was super hard, it was difficult to regulate the water for our shower as it kept getting very hot or very cold....

The hotel is clean and neet. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. The water was hot and breakfast was good. The staff was AMAZING! !! They were very helpful, friendly and accomodating. This was our jump off point for touring the ruins in the area and Machu Picchu. Highly recommend to all.

The Hotel is not far from the Cuzco airport. The Lobby is nice. The breakfast is small but nice. Coffee, fruit, breads and eggs. The rooms are comfy in space and the showers have hot water. My complaint is the beds are very Hard, almost as hard as sleeping on a board of wood.

Stayed here for three nights while visiting the sacred valley. We arrived at night into Cusco. The hotel is right on the edge of old cusco across the street from the main tourist market. Short ride from airport. The staff is excellent. We sat in the lobby drinking fresh coca tea while they checked us in. It was a nice...
