Ours was a last minute booking--and (perhaps unsurprisingly) most of the hotels we wished to stay in were booked out. We finally opted for Hosteria de Anita since it seemed to be well located.
However, it wasn't a good choice of accommodation at all.
La Hosteria de Anita is located conveniently close to Cuzco without being in the busy main square. It is necessary to climb a flight of steps to reach the hostel, which was a challenge at first but no problem for us once we were acclimatised....More
The staff were really nice and helpful, the location was great (just a few blocks from Plaza de Armas) and the breakfast was very good. If you need transportation to get to another town, get them to call Javier. He is super nice.
It was amazing stay, it was my wife and two children, three days two nights It was a stop off for Machu Picchu. We had a two bedroom, with one room having a queen bed, and the other having two twins which worked out perfect....More
The rooms were located around inner yards that were full of plants. The rooms were clean and functional. Good breakfast and friendly staff. Taking a shower with cold water costs some effort in the morning of a cold night.
