Cusco has some poverty and crime, but this hotel is about as luxe is it can get--courtyards, gardens, paintings, arches. Exquisite architecture, beautiful rooms/room decor, popular bar, great though expensive food at the restaurants (we took advantage of dinner with opera singers, offered a few times a week). Gilded chapel was over the top. Very bespoke experience. No pool, but...

Set on a small piazza in the heart of Cusco this converted Dominican monastery offers a respite unimaginable from its unpretentious outside. Walk inside and one arrives at the former cloistered garden where you are surrounded by flowers and plants to brighten your day. Have breakfast outdoors and stay at one of the beautifully renovated rooms of the religious order....

Virtually everything about this hotel exceeds expectations. The grounds are simply beautiful and the location is ideal for exploring Cuzco. There are worse things in life than overcoming altitude sickness sitting the shade of a 300 year old tree in the courtyard of a beautiful former monastery. The chapel on site is quite something too. The food, from the extensive...

We were incredibly fortunate to be staying at this wonderful facility both before and after visiting Machu Picchu. Our two days and then a third day were THE most comfortable days of our trip. We marveled at the art work on the walls, we marveled at the spotless 'windows' that were so clean as to be invisible to us as...

If we had to choose, this hotel would take the prize. It is beautiful. A Spanish colonial monastery built above Inca walls. A surreal experience just walking to your room. Make sure you have a look in the hotel's own chapel. Food was excellent. Had an amazing dinner with opera singers on one night. Good location, close to the main...

Beautiful hotel in restored monastery.Gardens were superb and breakfast on the terrace was a great way to start the day.Our room though was on the 3rd floor with a sloping roof and small windows and felt claustrophobic, bathroom was spacious.Other rooms are much bigger,so if possible request larger room.Staff were exceptional.

We were upgraded to a presidential suite which was one of the nicest rooms we have ever stayed in. The courtyards are beautiful and all restaurants serve great food.
