We stayed here for 2 nights after the Inca Trail & just loved it. There is an attention to detail & Swiss style that is beautiful & functional. The room was large, comfortable & tastefully decorated &, the bathroom/shower was great. Breakfast was really tasty & in a lovely sunlit breakfast room set around a courtyard, with the fire hearing...

Maison Fortaleza is a cozy house just up the hill from the historical center of Cusco. The view out over town is tremendous. Itala and her family (who live next door and pop in often in the common areas) are the loveliest people and they went out of their way to make us feel at home. Everyone was as helpful,...

I recently stayed at Maison Fortaleza from June 22nd to June 26th, 2014, and I couldn't have chosen a much better bed and breakfast for my stay in Cusco. Itala picked us up at the airport and took us to her beautiful place. Our room was very modern and very clean. The bathroom was also new, with hot and great...

I recently stayed at this bed and breakfast for four days. I was very satisfied with the owner's pleasant customer service and personable experience. The owner, Itala, picked us up from the airport and took us to her place. Once we arrived to the B&B, we got a beautiful, spacious, and very clean room. Itala provided towels and extra covers...

This guest house is beautifully designed. We particularly liked the top-notch showers (great water pressure and hot water) and comfy beds. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Breakfast was good. We did have a few bumps during our stay here but the owners rectified things even from afar. It seems like Maison Foraleza is going through some growing pains...

This was the best B&B we stayed during our travels in South America. The room was modern and spacious, and the house has a beautiful family feel. The bathroom and shower were also new and had consistent hot water. Breakfast was lovely, with fresh bread, cheese, avocado, fruits and jam. The hosts, Itala and Jean Claude have a wealth of...

Everyone going to Peru need to visit Macchu Picchu and pass through Cuzco. I travel quite a lot, and Cusco was kind of scary to find a nice and decent place to stay couple of days to do all there is to do in and around Cuzco. In the maze of hundreds and hundreds of lodging, between 5 stars and...

Staying at the Maison Fortaleza is staying with a friend who grew up in Cusco. Itala Stucky, the owner is also a guide and can help you with your entire Peruvian trip. Our April 2013 stay was beyond expectations. Ita and her family are warm and fun. Her rooms are clean and new, but with the feel of yesteryear and...
